Wireless Moot

Battery pull/reboot put me in a bootloop (stuck on boot animation). Did another pull, went into stock recovery and did a factory reset. That fixed the bootloop, and I have recent TiBu backups for all my apps/data so I'm not too worried about that once I get root back. Going through phone setup now, about to download TiBu and then use the HoB to re-root.

Man that's a pain. Glad you were able to fix it though.

That's basically what I told them. Fixing this is a pain in the ass. There's a reason I put so many damn warnings in there about this particular issue. I DON'T like fixing it. They're massively screwed cause their cdt partition is all f'd up.
There actually IS a way to fix that?

I notice that problem when using a black color scheme. I assume its because the font for those post forces black and tapatalk doesn't invert it. It made it so i couldn't see most of the body of the news posts. I switched back to default color scheme.

Same problem...

Yes, I'm well aware. I like helping people to a point but come on....I don't require all that much of my users. That one is my cardinal sin though. I have zero patience for people that do that.
You can't fix stupid. But you have to wonder how some people manage to function in daily life.

By the way, for anyone interested in the CM10 Jelly Bean ROM, it works very well. Right now, I am running the kexec build from this morning, and it is about 90% there. Only flaw is absolutely no camera drivers, so no camera functionality. The stock CM10 build has working camera with a 3rd party camera app.

Surprised you haven't written a handy dandy batch file to deal with it by now! Or is it a process that must be done manually?

Oh it's not hard. You really wanna know how to fix it? First and foremost REPAIR the AP Fastboot ERROR. Then boot back into AP Fastboot and do a REINSTALL on whatever version you f'd up in the first place. Done. Not the point. I shouldn't have to help people fix this cause it's f'ing ridiculous!

Man I'm glad I left mine on 905 instead of taking a risk f-ing it all up. I would not want to be on the receiving end of a Samuri smack down :)

All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi...

Not a problem, I'm just happy to be on .247 and with everything working at this point. Things were looking kinda grim for a minute there. ;) I suspect that I had something frozen that the setup process didn't like -- since they remain frozen after the update. I had a ton of stuff frozen, way more than what you have listed on the HoB thread. No worries, it's been awhile since I did a factory reset, and it could probably use some cobweb-clearing. It's at times like this I'm glad I sprang for the premium version of TiBu with unattended batch restore. :)

So apply the CDT fix and reinstall the OS? That should be all that needs to be done to fix it, if you have to explain it beyond that they had no business in the House to begin with.

I only require very little...that people read the HoB OP and the HoB FAQ. If I have to deal with issues that are covered in either of those, I get REALLY pissed off cause it's a waste of my time. And with 1200+ users, it's hard to support stupid people that can't read. If that makes me sound like a jerk, well, too bad I guess. I do my best.
