Hmm, it seems to be hung on "Android is upgrading / Finishing boot." It already upgraded all my apps. Been stuck on this step for about 10 minutes now....? Haven't seen it do this before.
Might sound dumb, but try hitting your home button. I had this happen on one of the leaks, and it seemed to be just one of those things. I hit the home button and the desktop popped up.

I know I occasionally will post something to help divert people's attention by using words like Bacon or Platypus and even the occasional random statement but today I'm not going to do that because the hardest part about a Zombie Apocalypse is pretending I'm not excited.

Nope, no dice. I'm not even getting haptic feedback from any of the capacative buttons. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Wonder if I had something frozen that the updater doesn't like? I guess the next step would be to go back into Fastboot and wipe data / factory reset? I'll let it sit for a little while longer.

No Cheeseburger! chip!

Of course we could start talking about the many ways to cook SPAM

I just noticed tapatalk is finally displaying who it was that said something when a post is quoted.

I noticed that too but I also notice some of the posts aren't showing up right either. Anyone else?

I was thinking more along these lines for SPAM....

Well, there's egg and bacon; egg sausage and bacon; egg and spam; egg, bacon and spam; egg, bacon, sausage and spam; spam, bacon, sausage and spam; spam, egg, spam, spam, bacon and spam; spam, spam, spam, egg and spam; spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, baked beans, spam, spam, spam and spam; or Lobster thermidor aux crevettes with a mornay sauce garnished with truffle pâté, brandy and with a fried egg on top and spam.

What I don't understand is why, after a certain amount of "shenanigans" Moto doesn't just push the update themselves. It would seem that if their branding is taking a beating due to someone else they would just put their foot down. I know I'm a newbie, but I don't get why they would allow this much drama.

Probably would violate some sort of agreement with the carrier. Since it's running on their network, they need to sign off on any updates. It's just that Motorola recently made Verizon agree that they will not withhold updates without good reason. What you speak of is pretty much the case with .247 though, apparently Motorola themselves took control over the build.

I would think that an update failing on LTE would spark some intrigue. It's the first time I've ever seen that happen. It passes all the assertions and fails in the middle of the update. That's just wrong.
That, my friend, sounds like a classic case of hardware failure to me. Probably couldn't write to the flash memory for whatever reason. Is the LTE baseband processor memory area a very specific size? If so even one bad bit could cause it to fail.

20 minutes now and still hung on "Android is upgrading / Finishing Boot." Any ideas?

Hit the power button once to see if it screen locks. If it does you might be able to unlock it and resume install.
