Wireless Moot

Why is using a TI chipset with Moto radios acceptable, then? Wouldn't it be like the exact same thing?

No cause the OMAP doesn't have built in radios. That was the point in the article I linked to...for most mfg's that's too costly to pair it up with a radio. For moto it's the perfect design.

I think it's the other way around. Intel's not ready though. Not really. I think Moto turned to them when they found out TI was getting the hell out of the smartphone business cause they DON'T want to stop making their own radios.

You could be well right. Chicken, egg..

Though this is Intel we're dealing with. Chipzilla is NOT to be underestimated. Give them a little bit of time and I'll bet they'll have something pretty viable. Admittedly they're a late comer.

That's why I make the point that they're not ready. The RAZR I is just a test phone. Moto and Intel wanna start profiling things like power consumption, how well the radios work with an intel chip, heat, etc. Once they have a profile of real world use, they can apply that to improving a real solution which will be a quad core intel and a full spectrum moto software radio. ;)

I wanna know what it is with women (especially LARGE women) using their bra/cleavage/etc as a cellphone holder? I like boobs and all, but I am NOT going to ask you to use your phone, even if it's an emergency *LMAO*

My granny used to keep her Salems & Zippo stashed in there...

Tapatalking Redheaded Bionic

I wanna thank the folks here for all the info relating to our Bionic experience, since neither vzw nor moto are in the business of serving customers with information. But there is one question that has been taunting me, there was a reference earlier in the thread that said verizon had approved the 246 build and I was wondering if that is a confirmed fact or ''inside'' info, what ?

They've been making notebook processors for ages though so power and so on is hardly virgin territory for them.

Wonder if AMD will be able to transition? Pity in all this we don't have the ability to pick and choose like we can when building PC's.

Very very different world than notebooks. Android works different, too. They need experience.

Agreed, Also I think I read in one of the article that the first intel chip is only a single core as well.

That's all I got to say about this.

Sent from my. 246 ICS leaked BIONIC

Man i'm so tempted the install .246. i've been holding out because I keep thinking the OTA will be in a week or two (been having this thought for the past month). I want to factory reset after upgrading to ICS for a clean slate, but don't want to have to reset twice if by some miracle we get the OTA this weekend/next weekend.
