As for the OMAP thing, do you have a link? I cannot find anything about them dropping the OMAP line, just an older article about them selling off their chipset division.

So yea, anyway, TI exits stage right from the smartphone/tablet market. This should concern you guys more than you know. Moto makes its own radios. If they have to go with a Qualcomm chipset (they sure as hell won't use Samsung's) then they'll be just another clone on the block. Hardware wise there'd be no reason to pick Moto now. You see where this ugly trend is going to take us right?

Yeah, but x86 is not really an optimal platform for mobile devices. Unless they license ARM's core and start basing things on ARM.

We just have to wait and see how it plays out. Could be the savior of Moto or it could be the death of it. Those snapdragon SoC's are not to be trifled with. Intel will have to step it up big time to compete. But, as was said before. Never count Intel out.

Agreed. They had a chance and completely blew it. I wouldn't even think to use one now. Too bad though. I used to build with them all the time. Wish they could find their way again.

Personally i dont care what processor is in my phone/device. As long as its fast and runs smooth. I will admit that i love the tegra 3 in my nexus 7 and im also partial to the snapdragon S4 because of its famed kindness to your battery.

Hey everyone!

Major lurker, finally registered to say a thank you to SamuriHL for his awesome tool. Finally after many months of waiting and waiting and waiting for the update that never came, I decided to take a plunge and use the HoB tool to load .246. Holy crap the phone feels like a brand new phone! The utility made it a real-smooth installation. Only issue I've ran was when I first used the tool, on Windows 7 I told the script to run as Administrator, that caused the tool to fail at everything. Luckly, it didnt brick the phone. So SamuriHL, you may want to put it in your FAQ not to run as admin the utility hehe. Reason I did that was I'm so used to run batch and cmd prompt things in admin mode that it was like a 2nd nature for me to do it with HoB hehe.

The ATI stuff is ok its the cores I have a problem with. They just haven't kept up with Intel (cringes). IMO for what it's worth. Lol

I had a 5870. Great card. Their latest stuff...not a chance in hell. They have no prayer in this market.
