Dude I wish I lived in the 80's. My old IBM PS/2 laptop still works. It has a 386 with like 8 MB of ram, a monochrome LCD displau, a floppy drive, and I think i threw in a 6GB drive in there, but because the hard drive is so "large" I had to use a disk manager to allow the laptop to utilize the hard drive correctly. I think its called OnTrack Disk Manager for anyone that needs it. XD..

You call THAT "old"? My first "PC" was a Sinclair ZX-81 with 1k of RAM and cassette tape storage. Monitor was a black+white TV, ZX-81 didn't support color. OR bit-addressable graphics. OR sound.

Of course,I couldn't do anything with it so outside I went

No what happened to that one was one person getting beat up for questioning the validity of SMGDs reports. So keep it civil and we will be good.

First computer was the Commodore 64 got it my senior year of high school.

I'm suddenly being stricken with Deja vu...the .244 thread went off topic like this about old tech, and gaming and we all know what happened to that one............
I think that one disappeared because we didn't want certain sensitive information to be searchable from the internet, if I remember Droid-Life started reporting things from the thread that they shouldn't have.

39 here.. my family's first real computer (outside of Atari) - a Franklin Ace 1200, essentially an Apple II+ knockoff. Monochrome green monitor.

Many many hours of my childhood writing Apple BASIC.

Plus, some oldies but goody games: the ORIGINAL Castle Wolfenstien (Muse software), Captian Goodnight, Lode Runner, Karateka... making copies of such with LockSmith.

I don't consider that a PC. I had a Heath Kit something or other way before that.
