I had initially gotten word that the phone would be available to order online at 12:01am EST from my rep, but she just emailed me that a second note went out that it now won't be available until 3am EST (Midnight PST). I am not sure what is going to be true, but I will be up at Midnight EST and if there is nothing at that time, will take a cat nap and wait until 3am.

Stupid west coast...

i gotta say this thread has helped me sooo much. i know its only a phone but, what a phone it is!!! i have been on multiple forums every day and night reading {through a LOT of crap} but you have helped tremendously! i have to admit getting the phone tomorrow is bitter sweet. reading and obsessing over this thing was alot of fun. i needed it like chocolate covered crack. and now ill need to obsess over something else.... maybe my wife. . thanks again!!!

I have not slept lately, will not sleep for next few days and I'm waiting to hopefully get an update on this situation lol

Why is it that this phone is being sold already on wirefly and amazon? Shipping takes two days they say. I'm getting confused too much drama for a phone.

I have my appointment set for 11:30 AM tomorrow to pick mine up from the local Verizon store. The associate I talked with set the time up for me to come in and told me I would be meeting with him. They even sent me a text message today stating "VZW Free Msg:Reminder for your upcoming appt with Verizon Wireless. Conf #XXXXX, for March 17, 2011 11:30 AM at XXXXXX store." I'm coming from an HTC Droid Eris, which has been a great phone to me. But moving to the HTC Thunderbolt is a MASSIVE jump for me. Tomorrow cannot come fast enough....

I called verizon just before to transfer an upgrade to my account, but they are closed. 1230 is too late for them I guess!

I've set my alarm for early tmrw to transfer and order it. I'm going to opt out for saving some money and getting the phone a day or two later

Just wanted to give an update. Currently on the east coast at least you can upgrade your device to the thunderbolt. Just tried it, but I'm too impatient to wait beyond later this morning to get my phone

I had issues for a few minutes as well when logged in. Apparently VZW chooses 3am EST to "Update" their systems every night (not the brightest move). Just keep trying, it should eventually work!
