For what its worth, I have downloaded the updated 1.5 version and wow this rom is bad ass. The last version left me wondering why I even mess with roms anymore but he really bounced back and knocked this out of the park.

Also, I went ahead and installed blackglassx deodexed version and its running great.

I would say this is better then rubix and apex. Version 1 sucked but this is by far the quickest and most stable rom I've used. I threw black glass on it and she's a beauty.

Problems

For anybody that expreienced issues with earlier versions of ZapX thats why I try to create nightly betas and test them. Also if you haven't bothered to visit my site or noticed there is also a ZapX Help section on the the website at Drewgaren.com where you can find helpful information on the rom. The rom has been updated to ZapX BAZINGA 1.6 and has cured and known bugs including that of bootstrap issues and signal loss. There is also a Bug Reporter app that comes with ZapX BAZINGA that can be used to report bugs. BAZINGA 1.6 will not be updated for a few more weeks as we beta test the upcoming 2.0 version. I recommend all users download 1.6 if your having trouble, if your coming from 1.5 you do not have to format data.

My phone is stuck in an endless loop of switching the airplane mode on and off. I have tried uninstalling the one widget that I thought could be the problem (power control) to no avail. Any ideas? This was happening on 1.0 and continues to happen on 1.6

If I select to turn on airplane mode permanently, the phone works as advertised. I turn this off and a red x circle goes over the bars most of the time. In this state I cannot even open the dialer for more than a few seconds. Although I can sometimes briefly start a phone call. When it is in this state and I bring up the airplane mode widget, the text alternates between airplane mode on and airplane mode off. Does not stop, unless I intervene and set airplane mode on. After airplane mode has been manually selected as on, the text calms down and only displays "Airplane Mode On"

Argh. There is a big bug somewheres...

No. My 1.6 is solid as a rock, and fast...
Tried going back to stock and starting again?

If you downloaded 1.6 from rom manager it won't mount the system, there for your not really on 1.6. Try doing it thru bootstrap. That is what it took for me.

Me too. Downloaded it onto the SD then bootstrapped. Basically followed the instructions to the letter....

Idk i had downloaded this and set it up how i liked it....i just never could get in to it after i had so much trouble...I always just had a negative vibe about it....But i hope you get this totally squared off so others can enjoy it...
As for now ill stay with apex...But thanks for all your hard work on creating this rom and not bashing me.....

Ummm I agree with u about the negative vibe. I was pissed when I changed to this rom that seemed like a 4 year old put together. Just so u know I went back to my ssx and when 1.6 came out i switched back. Its worth it now. Take the jump

I had to install this because of all the negative things being said. Had zero problems and its running like a champ so far, will give it a couple of days to see how it goes. Installed the Onix black bar and a few other mods to it for my liking. Will OC it today and see what I can get.

this rom is great so whoever may have a problem may need to reinstall, this one is great, battery life good, so try it now after the 1.6 is done dancedroid
