I'm having a really hard time putting miui music back on after 1.3 took it off. What gives? I took the apk and put in the app folder, changed permissions, and rebooted.

I don't know about swap, but slayher kernel can be enabled to have compcache enabled and I'm playing with it now. I will let you know how it works out. Here is the link on how to do everything:

Read carefully and make sure that you install the compcache fix.

Is anyone having launcher redraw issues? Mines seems a little laggy...it catches up eventually.
I'm using everything stock for the time being too...

I've been trying to get an answer on this for awhile now. If anyone knows how to fix it they are not sharing unfortunately. It is really bad on my phone, but I'm loving everything else in this build. It is truely amazing dancedroiddancedroid

How to get News/Weather widget

I read in the OP that the News/Weather app was removed. How can I get this back?

I increased vm heap to 42m from 32m. And adjusted HOME_APP to "1". No redraws anymore.

Great! I tried to adjust the HOME_APP by doing the echo to local.prop and the phone wouldn't startup. How did you do it??

Wasn't this built into this ROM? If not why not? It seems like a big waste for all of us who care to gave to key this in with each major revision.

He means News & Weather, it's a Google app, not the MIUI Weather Widget.

I read in the OP that the News/Weather app was removed. How can I get this back?

Just pull it from a previous version (GenieWidget.apk) and push it using ADB, remember to fix permissions.
