Ahh, back from flying, on my Droid, if you got the update notification, attach to PC, mount, and copy update.zip from riot of SD card to PC, that's it..
I'm in sort of a dilemma. I've been having an issue with my droid over the past couple weeks. Its been randomly shutting down, and only a bat pull with enable it to turn back on. I am rooted and its happened on three different roms with three different kernals. At first of course I thought it was the rom or kernal etc. But after a lot of searching I have found that it is an issue with non-rooted droids as well. So now I'm wondering if its a hardware issue with the phone. Normally of course I would just send it back and get a new one(its under warranty), and start from scratch. However with the update coming I am hesitant. I don't want to be able to loose root cabability and all that goes with it.Of course if I called today and they shipped a new phone I'm guessing that it would still be 2.01, but obviously wont know until it arrives.
Any thoughts on what you guys would do? suggestions? I can't deal with the random shutdown, almost daily now. I miss emails, calls etc., and I usually use my phone as an alarm.
