Could someone please explain what exactly will happen during the OTA update ?
What happens during the process ?
Does anything happen to the apps that are installed ?
Do they get saved / moved somewhere ?
Do all the apps have to be modified for 2.1 before use again after the upgrade ?

Wanna know what I think? I think 10k went out Thursday. Then nothing on Friday to check for problems and they found one. And that everything will go out as planned. Ofcourse this is a theory. Bt why not 
and I'm completely serious. I think we will see it tonight or tomorrow. Now please don't be be where's your proof???!! I just said its an idea. That twitter update was aAFTER the delay. Verizons twitter specifically said there was NO delay. Just wait. And see ofcourse

Well hopefully by football season we could get 2.1 then flash. Droid life has a good video on their site.

If you have Sprecovery installed you need to get back to stock cause with Sprecovery I don't think you will receive the ota. If you want the ota, to be on the safe side I would go back to stock recovery.

This should pretty much put a nail in the coffin for those that were trying to hold out hope of maybe the whole thing was confusion. It is starting to look like getting this update by the end of the first quarter may actually not happen.
Maybe we will get the update sometime in the second quarter if we are lucky and these companies can get their crap worked out.
The definition for the word "soon" has just been modified by Websters to mean "anytime withing the next 6 months".

Okay. Except that same exact info was released days ago. We found out about the delay. THEN started all of this. That link is just a repeat of what was said early yesterday (i believe). And where did it say anything about it being pushed back "sometime" into the second quarter. Well obviously if its not coming today its not going to have came in the first quarter. even though we were told it was. But no where in that link does it say "Oh its going to be weeks" And even if it did there is absolutely no proof.
So please. Can we slow down on repeating the same thing and then saying "oh this is means its off for a while..." because this post was not the first.
And this is not at a shot at MrKleen, as i generally like his posts, but this hysteria about 2.1 is becoming a little bit annoying. Yeah you can say annoying...
I do not know whats going on with Verizon. But i can tell you what. I always thought Motorola was a crappy phone company. And when i got this phone i thought "Wow, they got their act together". Well i guess not. Because this whole 2.1 thing is rediculous. First incompetent employees leaking not only false information, but early information. Did they post it 2 days ago when it was officially announced by verizon? No. They said on that page from Moto that it was coming out that week. Did they say it this week? Its like Moto employees were playing a joke or something. I doubt they will even post anything when it REALLY is coming out. I am sorry i vented. But this is going off course so bad. And to all the people saying "Oh i read 3 pages and couldnt read more so ill just post..." No. please stop. i have read EVERY word of EVERY 2.1 thread to find out information (and to my luck nothing was valid) so i am SURE you can take the time and do as the others did. its forum etiquette. Learn it.
