No, but I am anxious for the update.....and dont listen to some on here. They can be bossy and demanding. If your excited, then be excited.....

I would venture a guess that the Droid will update by March 23rd. My thinking is that Motorola would want the Droid to have 2.1 by the time the Nexus One becomes available on Verizon and I understand that the Nexus One will be available on March 23rd. If Motorola allows the Nexus One to be the only Android phone available to Verizon customers, I think they will see a drop in sales. If they upgrade to 2.1, they will keep the Droid competitive. Of course this is all just speculation.
It's not Moto's planning, it's Verizon's. Moto has done their part it is up to Verizon to finish testing and send it out.

It's really wierd how many things get released around that day...Playstation2, movies, etc....coincidence I'm sure.
Marketing wise, though, I would expect V to hold off on the 2.1 update until June/July. The newest stuff should push sales (Nexus). But knowing that, and how business execs think, they probably already did that for the Jan-March time frame, in order to wait for the Nexus, as was stated above.
I just cleaned up my droid screens, installed my FM modulator with my 3.5mm jack....now just waiting for 2.1 ....

So , is there a confirmed OTA date yet ?
Nope, no confirmed date. Still stuck on "soon."
I say we smash our phones with a hammer until 2.1 gets released....that will show em.

So nobody knows the official date yet when we will be able to update this normally without having to download some build or rom from the internet????? I'm so confused witht the date here..
