246 update on QA server now.

That was my understanding as well, though. I thought they had approved .244, and then the tech lead demanded an audit AFTER the approval had already been made?

Correct, but Moto was smart and was working ahead knowing Verizon would pull some crap, thus 246 which was approved during all the drama friday

Your second statement negates the first. That's like saying your kid can have an ice cream sandwich and then just as they go to take the wrapper off changing your mind and telling them no. (See what I did there? :D)

You mean that's not what keeps happening????? :p
Hell...I thought Moto was just really liking looking at the same code over and over and over again, trying to WILL the perfection VZW seems to want. :D

Sent from my. 244 ICS leaked BIONIC

And you are also missing my point. Look at the analogy I gave. What does an *APPROVAL* mean if they take it back? They know moto can't turn on a dime and spit out an OTA as soon as the approval is given. IOW, they have TIME to undo it. And they have. Twice. That is *NOT* an approval to me. At all. Approval means FINAL UNDOABLE YES.

It's all just a waiting game now until the end of each week to see if a soak starts OR the OTA just drops suddenly like that other phone (forget which that was)

OR

Someone gets that goody insider info again and it makes it way to the scene.

Either way, Forum Junkie, can't get enough of checking to see!!!!

and so he has spoken! :p But in all seriousnessness (yay new word) 'approval' should mean it's going to come out, it's past the point of no return.

Man. I've been such a forum junkie recently.... my girl is always giving me a hard time since every time she turns around I'm checking this.

I must say this day is not filling my need for a fix. Bleh borrreeedddd

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh nice fix now. all this approval talk is getting me excited lol

How is anyone supposed to follow the point to begin with, when it's unclear to me that VERIZON and MOTO themselves are even fully aware of what the approval status of an update is? What's the sense of an approval process if it can change in 5 seconds? I thought the bull**** was supposed to STOP after what transpired on Friday. Don't even let me find out Moto is wussing out on this.

wheres sarge when you need him. lol... but seriously approval should be undoable like as sam said... and also im used to installing leaks and stuff but i cant bring myself to do this one... ugh, im giving until oct 2 then im gonna jump i think haha hopefully ill be able to get back to OTA once i do

That's exactly the point I was trying to make. They can't say APPROVED and then rescind the approval. That's BS.

I don't know, my Grandma always taught me that you don't offer someone something, and then take the offer away. People have absolutely no etiquette anymore, and it carries over to the way they do business.

That's exactly it, yes. We don't know how it's going to play out after Friday's little eventfulness. What I'm saying is up to this point. approval is not final. To quote one of my all time favorite movies...."I don't think that word means what you think it means." :D

Maybe Verizon should stop rewriting the dictionary to make words mean what they want them to mean. Seems like "approved" means just as much as "unlimited" does to them. In other words, not a damn thing. Hopefully, the Punit Soni guy will live up to his promises that he is so publicly making.

No argument at all. Approval doesn't seem to have the same meaning to everyone that it should. Approved, DONE.
