Im getting ready to watch Crimson Tide on AMC. Thats how bored I am waiting for news from Sarg.
Even if thats true, IOS updates are a hell of a lot faster than Android, just saying.
Personally I will be surprised if sarge or his contact decided to share anything today. They went out on a limb for us on Friday and I thank them fully for that, but unfortunately, there were some people/one in this forum that decided to say things in places that they should not have said thing. Plus on top of that the .244 thread had to be locked and hidden to protect people, as well as to quell the arguments that started up towards the end of it. While I am hoping for an update, if we don't get one today or ever I totally understand their point of view and still want to say thank you again to the both of them, as well as Sam for all the support he gave us this weekend. I know Loudon is fun and more where he probably where he wanted to be.
BTW Samurai How did you like the delayed flyover?. My sister said the whole race seemed off because of it.
You give us developers a bad name! Pay attention!!!!
not really though, think about how many major updates iOS has and how many Android has. now think of how many different models each have... id say if those are taken into account they are closer than it seems
Umm lecture starts like so:
This is how to comment a single line in c# // comments here. This is how to comment multiple lines:

been programming since '91 shoot me now. Hey at least I piped in and explained how to auto expand arrays using an ArrayList  anyways back to drama.
I really hope that one day, and it'll be years from now if it ever happens, Google makes its own cell phone service. It could be backed by google fiber. Problem is that Google fiber would need to be nation wide for it to work, and that is many years away............probably like 10.
I guess if you look at it that way you could be right. Truth is, Android "fragmentation" really frustrates me. We live in an age that the current hardware can support all of these updates, but phones are not given them simply because they are over a year old in some examples. I love Jelly Bean on my Nexus 7, it really pisses me off sometimes that my phone is 2 OS behind my damn tablet.
But like i said earlier, my phone is running fine so I can try to be patient, but when i really think about things, fragmentation pisses me off.
I would love to see that, but I don't know if Google will go that far with Android. Google doesn't want to be investigated by the FCC for owning a "monopoly". Everyone knows Apple would go crying to the gov't in a second if Google did that.
fair point, but after what we learned in the thread last friday has made me question OEMs being responsible for the android "fragmentation" and maybe shift that blame to the wireless providers purposefully doing to get people to buy the new phones
True, an acceptable alternative would be for Nexus phones to be cheaper in the play store, say 300 or a little more. If they could do that somehow, a lot of us could afford to not be on contract with verizon and pay month to month and im some cases keep unlimited data.
I agree that its the carriers holding things up.
I really want to know what the new Motorola CEO meant when he said they have a plan for Bionic owners to make things right. Do we get a big discount on a new phone maybe?
they are: https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=galaxy_nexus_hspa
to get them to work on all networks they would need all of the networks to be on the same type. which is hopefully what 4g LTE will be once they get VoLTE then i think we will see more of this (which is similar to the Euro style for phones)
If you buy a Nexus from the play store does it get updated straight from google or does it still have to be approved by the carrier?
