5.5.5.893 FXZ .901/.902 compatible and.902 update

yeah one of the main things i am worried about is people patching there own fxz files together with my method an calling it their work or trying to to do it haphazardly and end up bricking someones phone an pass the fault on to me even though i am not the one who improperly made the FXZ most people think just modifying the cdt will fix everything in the FXZ i have seen it all over the internet in the last few days the .902 update has been out an they brick there phone cuz the flash failed an they wonder why
Your method??... you mean taking img and bin files from an OTA and replacing older or leaked ones into another FXZ zip?? ... I'm not sure you'd call it a method, maybe rather more just a great idea...:happy3: Now if you wrote some of the code in the bin files, perhaps...lol

lmao ok maybe my last post was a bit conceited but heck i spent hrs perfecting this method so a little bit of conceitedness should be ok?

I still am unable to gain root access. I have followed the OP and seem to be getting 'adb is not recognized as in internal or external command, operable command or batch file. charge only and usb debugging in place. Any help would be great. started on 893 installed the 896 fxz file over top.

lol... hey you put together one helluva solid 'method'..... it works like a charm. ..so what you put together is going to save a lot of grief for a lot of members... thus a little patting of the back is warranted, I'm definitely patting you on your back.:happy3:

try redownloading the exploit i have 3 of them posted an this time try one of the 3 u havent tried only reason for u to get that error is if 1 the download failed mid process or u dont have all of the files in the same folder when running the batch file also some people have reported that one of the posted exploits doesnt work for them but the other one does and vice versa also run the cdt fix cuz u might have an unseen cdt error thats blocking access to the adb server on the phone i had that happen to one of the members i was working with

I don't know where he got the first file from, but it's the first I found after a day of RSD'ing all sorts of files to my Bionic, that worked. Not sure what you pieced together but it fricking rocks. I searched and patched AAALLL fricking day. I was part of the soak test, and thought "oh, ok, I should put .893 back on my phone, root, forever root, then reapply the soak file". My phone was so f'ed up after that... every time I tried to fix it, weather it was adb pushed, or RSD'd, nothing worked, except for this method and the files posted.. and.. it was EASY. RSD'd the first file, use the tehroot to root and forever root, then just used the updates that automatically pushed.

Well then you also had the great idea of piecing things together... except sargentmajord actually was successful, so great work indeed...

btw, in regards to the erase sdcard partition...I'm pretty sure it's this line...<step operation="erase" partition="emstorage" />... in the XML that's doing that...removing it should avoid that issue...but I'm done tinkering for tonite, so anyone who'd like to test that, by all means...

lol i had to spend hours rebuilding both FXZs an testing an getting some pretty freakin weird errors before i finally got my head wrap around it an polished off the final product and posted it lmao still polishing though plus i am going to have to redo the process if moto decides to push out another stupid update before ICS

alright ill take a look an test it ill be up all night since lol i work a grave yard shift lol hence the weird hrs posted an ill update the FXZs as needed

of course then you probably should remove the emstorage img file and flash command...not sure why that part (erasing the external storage partition) needs to be done??

No credit needed, this is your baby... but that part (erasing the SDCard partiton) seems like a humbug part of the flash, so if unecessary, then removing it would be a nice addition
