6-14 [ROM] Froyo Kangerade V1.0 *Blazing fast, 7 Theme options, many extras*

My experience with this 2.2roms like this one have not been good. It's very slow and almost at times unresponsive. All 2.1 roms work great. So, what's the problem here? Do I need to wipe data cache 3x??

can someone PLEASE post here the scripts on how to copy apks from sdcard to /system ive been looking around/searching for 45 minutes literally, i couldnt find anything i would appreciate the help... :)

Hi all,

I read the entire 29 pages and havent seen an answer to my question so I really hope you guys can help me. Let me just keep it sort of short and tell you that I got my droid into a boot loop, and the only thing I see is the "M" logo and then it shuts off and so on. I have managed to boot into recovery Clockwork 1.8.1.8. I am not sure where to go from here as I am pretty noobish with this.

Quick background on my droid, it was 2.0 version for a while and then I got it rooted and Droidmod image went on. This was also based on 2.0 I believe with some 2.1 functionality. I have been getting messages for 2.1 OTA but never accepted. I think I have used SPRecovery. So tonight I see this new rom, I went ahead and bought Rom Manager Premium. Selected flash Clockwork Recovery and then button for ROM Downloads was enabled.

From here I selected Kangerade v10 with Chevys1.0Ghz kernel. Choose my options and backed up. Also selected to wipe data and cache. Installation looked like it was going correctly, with backup going through motions and then I got these loops. I am sorry I am writing this much just wanted to make sure I provide all the info.

I am really lost and would love to get some help, so many pages on this post and all I read was happy posts about the ROM and I would like to be able to say the same. Not to mention I can't use my phone now. Let me know if there is any more info I can provide.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Honestly, these 2.2 Roms are experimental, and we really need to wait for Google to release 2.2 so we're not working off of leaked froyo.

I'm taking these 2.2 roms with a grain of salt.

But, it's all in good fun in the end, and we learn :)

Edit: Always wipe x3 btw

Did you do a backup of you previous ROM? If so, go down to nandroid, then restore and then restore the backup you made.

hi zerosouls, yes I have indeed made a backup. I can give that a try, do you know if I have done anything wrong in my ROM installation, cause if I can go back to backup I would still like to get this ROM installed. Thank you for looking into my issue.

I have a feeling that installing from a 2.0.1 bootloader\rom was the issue, but your clockwork version seems correct enough.. I'm a bit stumped as my technical experience with android is only about a month and half thick... I really hope someone can help you out bro.

yo Jrummy, thanks for your hard work man... I've been trying to download from ROM manager but it kept on giving me error while downloading, is it still down?

Mmmm if you have a problem Try flashing in clockwork D/L ROM manager..........Manual.....(hold X and power button) and go to install Zip. And then Install the file where it is at. If in SPRecovery try placing on root of SDcard....then rename that file to update.zip. not update .zip.zip!!!!!!

Great work as usual, JRummy. I think I downloaded this within an hour of it being posted and have been really impressed with it so far... I've run almost every froyo Rom that's been released since the leak, and am really happy with my experience with yours so far. Was curious though, if it would be any problem to theme the YouTube widget to match the rest of the blueberry theme... translucent black with the blue touches. I pushed a GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk from a smoked glass theme, and have everything else set to match the theme, so just wondered if it would be any problem. Thanks for all your great work, you've done a hell of a job with this so far.

Was it Chevy's 1G Low Voltage or Ultra Low Voltage, and is that the only kernel you have tried? Some users' devices will not play nice with the Ultra LV, and a lot of times loops can be caused by a kernel that refuses to cooperate.

bump. Sorry, but I'm searching for how to add scripts and "pm" keeps giving me crap related either to post-meridiem or private message, neither of which are what I need :) Does anyone know what script I would need to add and how to add it in order for the functions below to operate? I've never encountered this problem before because all other ROMs have recognized the command...

EDIT: found others with the same problem, but no solution...and "pm" is in the /system/bin folder, it's just not recognized in terminal for some freakin' reason...

How would I get the "pm" function to work in terminal? I'm trying to run pm setInstallLocation and pm uninstall, and it tells me that pm can't be found.

Sent from my Droid
