Download terminal emulator from the market.
Run TE.
Type:
su
and hit enter.
This gives you root access.
Now type any script you want, and you're gold.

OR,

check out canvs2321's GUI frontend for the scripts on Kangerade.

I know how to do a little with scripts, but I'm stuck....

I installed the goodies package, but how do I get a live wallpaper to actually install?

I want the lwparrowdblue. So I went to the terminal, typed SU, then typed "lwparrowblue" and it says "Changed lwp to Droid Arrowed Blue!" But I go to my live wallpapers and I can't find anything new? What am I suppose to do?


EDIT: NEVER MIND! Figured it out! I just clicked on Nexus LWP and there it was! SORRY!

I flashed Froyo Kangerade yesterday and have been very happy. Great ROM.

Couple issues.

1. I've been unable to flash the goodies file. I see on my sd card, but when i go to flash it in recovery (cw) it doesn't show.

2. The previous issue was yesterday, so this morning I dl'd the googies file from jrummy's mirror he posted. Powered down. Held "X" and power...and...NOTHING. Just get the motorola "M". If i release X it eventually just boots up, but NO recovery.

I did wipe when coming to this rom. Any suggestions as to what my issues might be are very greatly appreciated.

Great work on the ROM Jrummy and all others that assisted.

*EDIT* Just tried booting into recovery from inside ROM Manager and that doesn't work either. Reboots, shows "M" then eventually just reboots and turns on.

I read the entire 29 pages and havent seen an answer to my question so I really hope you...From here I selected Kangerade v10 with Chevys1.0Ghz kernel...and then I got these loops. I am sorry I am writing this much just wanted to make sure I provide all the info. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Was it Chevy's 1G Low Voltage or Ultra Low Voltage, and is that the only kernel you have tried? Some users' devices will not play nice with the Ultra LV, and a lot of times loops can be caused by a kernel that refuses to cooperate.

Yeah that's the one I used. I will try some other ones. Any suggestions? Also does that mean that I am OK with steps I am taking? Meaning the versions of everything I have should be OK?

I was just wondering if there was anyway to get the full option list in Spare Parts (like in N8 & JRummy's CM Remix V0.8 2.1 Rom)?
I would like to change the font colors of things on the notification bar like i could in that Rom. No biggie if it's not going to be possible. You're Roms are still the best.

I had the same issue here is what I did:

1) go to Rom Manager -> Flash Alternate Recovery
2) Flash ClockworkMod Recovery

That's it, now I was able to get it working...

Boot into recovery, wipe data a couple more times then go back and install. Let me know if that works

Can't install packages via adb either here. I flashed two phones last night, and I just typed up a nice long post here but the forum decided to eat it and said my post was too short (lame ass javascript bs). Basically getting the '/system/bin/sh: pm: not found' error but the file exists, as does /system/framework/pm.jar and both appear to be original unmodified versions of those files so I'm not sure as the cause of the problem. I can install by mounting and copying the files over the to sd card, but would be nice to not have to do that whenever I want to install via adb.

Got it! Flashed recovery a couple times and now it works.

Not a good feeling to be without recovery.

So it just took you several times trying to boot into recovery until it worked? I was going to flash this rom but hearing your story kind of scared me away from it lol. I don't want to be without recovery, but I just want to hear how you got it back.

please fix your server

:icon_ poke: Jrummy your roms are awesome but you need to work on that server you got running there. its down once again getting the same 404 error. so yea fix it please or at least post up a mirror with the files. i was in the middle of downloading my rom your server went down. good thing i didn't try to flash my rom lol.
