I would try just leaving your phone sit for 30 min after it boots up. I know after installing froyo rom, within the first 30 min to 45 min it runs verrry slow due to the phone syncing. Maybe with you operating it while it's trying to sync everything is causing it to freeze up. Also, which way did you install this rom? Rom manager or did you put it on your sdcard?

Before you let it sit, was your market very slow and not really working? Did your apps install back in automatically?

Is there a limitation to the number of contacts you can have? I use Exchange and some Contacts did not sync

Can anyone explain how to add the goodies working? I'm trying to get a LWP working and having issues. I installed it as a update.zip and it seemed to go fine. I then go to emulator and the command takes. However the LWP is no where to be found.

Once you run the script, go to where you change the wallpaper, choose "live wallpapers" and then choose the "neural network" one. when you set it, it should set the newly downloaded/installed LWP.

Think of it as a Neural Network replacement.

Checked that and nothing there. Did I follow the correct steps? Download goodies, put in root and rename to update.zip, install via sprecovery, run script in terminal emulator. Did I miss a step?

Not that I know of, but I did it a bit different - I used clockwork and the GUI.

i still cant download from rom manager. as soon as im done clicking all my options it says rom download error in the notification bar. i tried clearing cache didnt help. i tried flashing and reflashing the two different recoveries didnt help. im just wondering if anyone has come across the same problem and has fixed it. i have been trying to dl since last night just figured servers were too busy and just wait, but now it seems like everybody has it but me

Does choosing only the ROM and Kernel work?

I had to go back and add LWP using the "goodies" file.

I never could get ROM Manager to work if I chose a LWP. Choosing the boot ani seemed to be ok. I also chose no extra fonts (also available in the goodies file)

it just makes neural network crash for me. i even tried that toggle in settings for FC and still does it.

I am having the exact same issue, and although not critical, would like to see it resolved.

My experience with this 2.2roms like this one have not been good. It's very slow and almost at times unresponsive. All 2.1 roms work great. So, what's the problem here? Do I need to wipe data cache 3x??

Honestly, these 2.2 Roms are experimental, and we really need to wait for Google to release 2.2 so we're not working off of leaked froyo.

I'm taking these 2.2 roms with a grain of salt.

But, it's all in good fun in the end, and we learn

Ok, I used the Search button but I don't see a mention of it... The Kangerade installed without Corporate Calendar. I didn't tell it to remove it or not install it, I actually want to use it. Does anyone know how to get it installed? I can't seem to find the .apk file for it. Plus, I'm guessing there was an upgrade to it in 2.2, so I want to use the newer one if there is one.

UPDATE: Never mind, I see they pushed it into the normal Calendar app now. I don't really like this, I liked having them separate, but I'll find an app for this or something.

I flashed Froyo Kangerade yesterday and have been very happy. Great ROM.

Couple issues.

1. I've been unable to flash the goodies file. I see on my sd card, but when i go to flash it in recovery (cw) it doesn't show.

2. The previous issue was yesterday, so this morning I dl'd the googies file from jrummy's mirror he posted. Powered down. Held "X" and power...and...NOTHING. Just get the motorola "M". If i release X it eventually just boots up, but NO recovery.

I did wipe when coming to this rom. Any suggestions as to what my issues might be are very greatly appreciated.

Great work on the ROM Jrummy and all others that assisted.

*EDIT* Just tried booting into recovery from inside ROM Manager and that doesn't work either. Reboots, shows "M" then eventually just reboots and turns on.

sounds like the rom manager problem people were having... I had the same thing happen to me.. what I did was I went into rom manager flashed sp recovery then flashed clockwork recovery... I then repeated two more times ... I was then able to boot into clockwork recovery...

LOVING the new rom. This is beautiful, visually and functionally. Thank you, JRummy!

I felt like the default font was a bit funky, though, and chose to install the goodies and use the "fontstock" script to switch back to the stock android font.

HOWEVER, the monospace font was still the same font I was trying to switch away from.

1. Why didn't the script fix this font also?
2. Why is the default monospace font NOT MONOSPACE?

Seems like an oversight... but how is nobody mentioning it? Terminal Emulator and Connectbot both looked jacked.

I manually fixed the font file in /system/fonts, but I still felt this was worth mentioning...

With Kangerade and Chevy's ULV 1.1GHz kernel I just ran a 1494 in Quadrant. My friend with a stock Eris on 2.1 ran a 209....oh yeah :icon_ banana:

First of all, thank you for this. I am loving the speed and am very glad I didn't need to give up my nice colored themes. Really great work.

I did have one question, I searched around the thread and didn't see anything, but if its already been answered I apologize.

In the cyanogen remix there was an option to have the "trackball" flash and it allowed for the LED to flash when the screen was on. Is there anyway to accomplish that on this ROM. If not its a small thing, but I'd love to see that functionality.

Are you connected to wifi or 3G? Also, I am reading on bugless beast and several other 2.2 ROM forums that this might be just the leaked froyo and not any of the custom rom's that's causing the connection failure.
