[ROM] [6/18/12] CM9 ICS For the Droid Pro

Can you modify your apn? I can't with new build....

To answer your questions (can't figure out how to multi quote). I tried various ways to get the new camera on the old build but with no success. It appears to be more than just the camera and the build.prop.

As for the APN, yeah, actually i noticed that as well but didn't think much about it at the time because i was trying ways to get gsm on the new build. Eventually gave up :)

Gotcha. All in all, this rom is great! The only bugs I've noticed so far are the sound settings fc, no video camera, and the fact that torch is not able to be enabled in the notification bar widget. Other than that, fast and pretty! Wonderful job!

EDIT: Oh, one other problem, apparently you cannot add facebook as an account under "Accounts & Sync". The app works fine, but it won't sync with contacts.

someone on the d2g forums posted to use Haxsync or Friendcaster from the market. Maybe that'll work for ya.

I haven't had any of these issues. Battery charges fine, no fc's on any of the apps I use (other than the sound settings). I installed the lastest build over top of the 3-4 build though. Might be worth a shot to setup 3-4, then flash 3-21 onto it without wiping anything.

Interesting, that might fix my problems, but does anyone have the 3-4 rom link? It seems it's removed from the first post /:

Edit: I happened to find the link through a cached google page for the first post, if anyone else needs it here it is
http://www.mediafire.com/?cqdajzi1aaoo1nu

I'll be installing 3-4 first and then flashing over it, will report the results.

Edit 2: Did the steps above, still hangs very frequently. Tried fixing permissions also. It seems to hang every time I run google maps.

I checked my battery usage as my phone is down to 15% in only 1.5 hours, and it shows 32% for Android OS, higher than Screen at 30% in battery usage. I think there's some background process that's sucking up resources and battery, causing my phone to hang many times.

Edit 3: After reinstalling countless times, COMPLETELY wiping my device etc., it's been a bit more stable but definitely still not usable. The cpu usage is stuck around 99% at 1ghz, pretty odd..
Going to try to figure out what's using so much cpu.

Edit 4: Using watchdog lite, it seems the init linux process is keeping the cpu at 99% at 1ghz, is no one else having this issue? -__-" I read that a fix was to enable usb debugging, but it hasn't fixed the problem /:

Edit 5: OKAY so I think after sbfing it completely to stock, flashing the stock official gingerbread rom and then flashing ics on top of it, I've gotten it to work.
Quadrant scores are now around 1800 from 1500!
Unfortunately, it seems that I get much lower 3g speeds and signal on Verizon on ICS (1.7mbps) than on the official gingerbread rom (~.7mbps) ..but I don't have hard evidence. All in all, I'm quite pleased :D

Edit 6: Nevermind. Issue came back after a few hours of solid performance.. "init" causing the cpu to be at 99% again..

Decided to go with haxsync, and that $1 was pretty worth it. Seems to be a problem with ICS in general, I guess. Thanks for the tip.

And so Do you suggest flash the stock official gb...?
Ok... In my european pro I can't....
What think JackpotClavin? It's better format the system, data and then apply cgm9.zip. or restore official gb and then cgm9.zip? Because in my pro I can't flash to original gb. But I can create an update.zip with original gb, and then apply ics....

For me, the only way to get everything working like it should was to sbf to stock 3.8.7, flash the official gingerbread rom, and THEN flash ICS.

Just fyi, for the sound settings force closing, you can set the phone ringtone by going to Settings > Profiles > Default (or whatever profile you're using) > Scroll down to Phone > then choose Phone Ringtone. Also make sure "Ring Mode" is set to on, or else it won't ring. This doesn't force the phone to ring on vibrate or silent.

Notifications can be set this way, as well as in their respective app (gmail, google voice, etc.). You can also set ringtone from the music app, but be sure set "Ring Mode" to no override.
Hope we get a true fix for this soon though! :D

Edit: for some reason the problem I posted earlier about "init" causing the cpu to be at 99% came back...wtf sigh.

Has anyone else been having terrible problems with the stock Music app? It will only play one track and then force close, and if you try and skip to the next track, it will also fc. Not sure if it's related to the Sound Settings bug or what. My Last.fm stream app works just fine. I'm going to try another music player and see if that fixes it. Clearing the app data did not help.

EDIT: So, I downloaded the "Android Music Player" app off the Market and it works fine, no fcs. Must be some weirdness with the stock player. Perhaps it's a kernel issue, because Android Music Player is the AOSP version built off the gingerbread source? Anyway, if anyone else has the issue, the app is free and works just fine.

Supposed to also wipe system before flashing. Not sure if that's causing your problem, but it's a possibility.

I also couldn't get camera to work and was having numerous issues with USB connections. Flashed back to 3-4. Will wait for next build.
