[ROM] [6/18/12] CM9 ICS For the Droid Pro

Bump...
Jackpot said back on 5/5 that he was going to have a new build out in a few days so i assume that the project is still alive. I hope that the project is still alive. I need the project to still be alive. Please tell me the project is still alive!

I've experienced some of the problems folks have already mentioned, but this rom is so fresh and smooth it didnt matter. Bravo Jackpot.

But now Ive noticed my 3G reception is unusually weak (almost always at 1 bar in places where i normally have 4) and my 3G speeds are abnormally slow (see picture).

Is anyone else experiencing these issues? Anyone have a suggested fix? I love this rom, so I'd hate to have to flash back to CM7 (the rom from which I came). Please help!

Just saw a post from Jackpot in the CM7 thread that said he's dealing with some issues with the camera for the CM9 build. So, it looks like he is still working on it. I'm pretty happy to hear that...I love this ROM, even if it's not quite perfect yet.

Going back to developing CM9 for the Pro. I recently refined CM7 for the Pro in the last week or so since the Pro is kinda underpowered and CM9 isn't for everybody so I gave everybody options :-)

I'll need a day or so to see where everything is because it's been a month or so since I did anything regarding DPro CM9

Woooooooo, looking forward to it

I'm gonna rebase this ROM on the other 3 devices' source like I should've done a while ago. There might be a few bugs however because of what has changed, but I will text everything out to the best of my abilities. It should be a day or more so sit tight :-)

Edit: the other three devices being the D2, D2G, and the DX

Looking forward to trying it out.On a separate note, can anyone tell me whether 4G is hardware/antenna based or software based? If it is software based as a lot of folks claim is there any hope of getting it worked into a ROM for this phone?

I have a hard time believing that would ever be possible.

Won't happen. Verizon's 4G is through LTE, which the Droid Pro does not have the radio for. It has the correct type of radio for AT&T/T-Mobile 4G, but the particular radio it has only supports their 3G speeds.

Do you mean our DP's do have 4G radio for GSM platform ???

As I understand it, HSPA+ and HSPDA utilize the same radio (similar technologies in the same way as LTE and LTE-Advanced), and our Pros have an HSPDA radio. However, it only supports up to like 7.2mbps or something (don't quote me on that, but I'm 99% positive it's not a 14.4mbps radio), so you would actually be getting only 3G speeds. The 4G radios usually start out at 14.4mbps and I think the ones T-Mobile puts in their phones now all do 42mbps.

Either way, software won't get you 4G. These phones are nearly 2 years old at this point, and 4G wasn't even out for anybody but Sprint back then.

7.2 Mbps !!!

It says 10.2 Mbps on GSMARENA spec sheet ... is there any way to check what's the correct speed ?
