[6-22] Froyo Kangerade V1.1 - 10% Battery, GUI for scripts, All a2sd option, 7 Themes

how would i do that if the phone wont boot up??? how will i get my computer to even recognize it? and even if i can what do i need to do from there???

Anyone having this issue or has any thoughts? I have 1.0 and that has been working fine and of course i wanted to upgrade to 1.1, so I did as I did last time. Rom Manager -> Download Rom -> Jrummy -> 1.1 and then selected the options I wanted. Clicked on Backup and no wipe. It reboots like it will go in recovery and install, but after a minute or 2 it just boots the phone back up without anything being done. Help and or thoughts are appreciated.

OK, a shot in the dark here from my PC experience, can you try taking out the battery and holding down the power button for 10 seconds then reinstalling the battery and hold the power button and see what happens. How much charge did the battery have in it when you tried all this?

Are you sure it didnt take? I didnt wipe and I thought that it didnt take, the only clue was that the kernal is a "froyo" kernal instead of the KMFDM or whatever overclock kernal I was using before. J stated that he forgot to update the build.prop file so it will still say v1.0 in settings. Check also for the fancier new kangerade scripts icon.

I've seen problems like this and the issue was a borked recovery. Try installing sprecovery and then reinstalling clockwork.

Truth is am never 100% sure, but I can tell you that the whole setup just seemed like a reboot. When I did 1.0 with a backup it took at least 5-10minutes if I remember correctly, and on top of that I could see an actual progress and things being done on screen. Also I don't notice kangerade scripts icon anywhere on my phone either. Kinda noobish here so forgive me if I sound like it. One thing I will say I have yet to successfully install a ROM with a custom kernel. For some reason my phone does not like custom kernels, but even those show stuff on screen when failing.

We all started someone, dont sweat it. I'm still new to this but I've been building and configuring PCs for well over a decade and our little Droids are super awesome mobile PCs. Did you try DL to PC then dropping it on the root of the SD card, booting with power button & X then installing that way following J's directions on the main page?

Wow, thanks a bunch that worked :icon_ banana: ! Thank you also Vaden for taking time to look at it. Now here's hoping the installation with a custom kernel works correctly. dancedroid

Flash clockwork a couple of times... always works for me.

If that doesn't work Flash "Alternate recovery"aka SPRecovery bottom of ROM manager then flash Clockwork again.
