[6-22] Froyo Kangerade V1.1 - 10% Battery, GUI for scripts, All a2sd option, 7 Themes

i am running the first one you dropped, just put the new one on my girlfriends phone.. this rom is sweet. i really like some of the new additions like the script app... just one question though, do i need to download adobe seperately or is it preinstalled in the rom?

Anyone having this issue or has any thoughts? I have 1.0 and that has been working fine and of course i wanted to upgrade to 1.1, so I did as I did last time. Rom Manager -> Download Rom -> Jrummy -> 1.1 and then selected the options I wanted. Clicked on Backup and no wipe. It reboots like it will go in recovery and install, but after a minute or 2 it just boots the phone back up without anything being done. Help and or thoughts are appreciated.

I've seen problems like this and the issue was a borked recovery. Try installing sprecovery and then reinstalling clockwork.

reinstall clockwork or reflash clockwork recovery??? sorry.... im new.

ok so i finally got it to boot back up. i have now tried to reflash sprecovery. then i rebooted my phone into recovery and restarted my phone. then i opened up clockwork and reflashed clockworkmod recovery. but now when i try to boot back into recovery it's not letting me...... i just get the m logo again..... ugh...... this sucks......

it's hard to understand the steps you took, but, first thing you do before you install a ROM is backup your current stable ROM, so assuming you took this step, just reboot into recovery and restore your backup. Also, i believe majority of M Boot logo locks are kernel related, try some different ones.

sorry it's hard for me to read your words and know your exact problems.

im experiencing really slow market apps downloads. When i tried to install the Goodies file in sprecovery it just hang there. any thoughts?

i did do a backup. but now it's not letting me boot into recovery. what i did was what jrummy suggested. i flsahed sprecovery then flashed clockworkmod recovery again. but now i can't boot into recovery. when i shut my phone off and then hold down the X button and power it on..... it just stays on the M logo. i can't boot into recovery to even restore my backup. so if this is a kernal issue. how do i install a new one??? especially how do i install one if i can't boot into recovery???

ive even tried downloading a new rom but since i can't boot into recovery i can't even download a different rom. so im stuck......

are you able to boot into recovery now after this update??? or is it just me???

if you have the goodies.zip on your pc(if you have a pc), just unzip it to a new folder, go into that folder and and goto sdcard folder, on your phone with it connected via usb click mount usb, then copy the goodies folder to your mounted drive on your pc for your droid. then on phone click unmount usb. and you should have access to goodies from scripts/kscripts

hope that all made sense (:

well the thing is, you said ^ that you had got it to reboot, then you flashed SPRecovery, but then you mention being in Clockwork reflashing Clockwork, then you said it didn't work, but i don't understand why if it booted and loaded a recovery you didnt do a nandroid/clockwork backup? Just do what you can to get it to boot again, also if you had booted back into a recovery you could have used adb to copy over different kernels to your sdcard so you could flash them with recovery. Hope this helps.

Hey guys, this time around I decided to go with stock froyo theme but I kind of miss the NexTheme and would like it back. I went from 1.0 to 1.1 btw. So what I was wondering if there is a way to install a theme without flashing the rom again? Also is it possible to try different launchers without flashing the rom? Thanks!

yeah i got it to boot into sprecovery. but not clockwork recovery. from sprecovery it wont let me restore any of my backups. or at least i dont know how to...... but jrummy said to reflash sprecovery. then reflash clockwork recovery. then everything should be fine. well that's what i did. but everything isnt fine because now that im back on the clockwork recovery i can't boot into recovery. does that make sense??? when i try to boot into recovery now to restore a backup i just get the M logo. i do have backups on my phone. quite a few. but i cant get into recovery to restore them. i can get into sprecovery but from there i can't restore any backups. but i can't get into clockwork recovery to restore my backups that ive downloaded. does this make any sense????

i'm downloading the 1.1 version right now, but in the 1.0 roms they didn't do anything to data or cache, it's a boot img, a new /system and adds some /sdcard, so i don't see why you couldn't just reflash a a new theme after you have the intial kangerade 1.0. you shouldn't have to wipe data/cache flashing a new theme. Yes you can do launchers by just installing them, you don't have to flash them you can just goto the /sdcard with a file manager like astro and install a launcher or you can goto market and download a launcher. I'll add an option for launcher changing to Kangerade.Scripts App probably tomorrow. ouch that was alot of typing, hopefully it made sense :)

hahaha nah man, i need all the info I can get so I can stop asking so many questions. An app with a launcher switcher sounds great btw. Thanks!.

skltr21: I suggest making a thread for your problem, or searching for others that experience your same symptoms

hmm..we are getting closer to making sense yes, when you made your backups, which recovery where you using SPRecovery or ClockWork, and how did you make those backups? Did you use an app like Rom Manager, or did you do Power on + X? if you made your backups only with clockwork, then SPRecovery won't be able to restore those. But my question is how did you get SPRecovery on your boot recovery? Rom Manager or did you use terminal to flash_image recovery sprecovery...img? I'm trying to make sense of it i promise :) that's all i can think of for now.

when i made my backups i was using clockwork. i used rom manager to make the backups. now.... jrummy had said to reflash sprecovery then reflash clockwork. so i reflashed sprecovery, from rom manager.... and was able to boot into recovery after i did that. but since my backups were done in clockwork in rom manager i couldnt access them. so i rebooted my phone. then i went back into rom manager and reflashed clockwork recovery. but now that ive gone back to clockwork recovery i can't boot into recovery. ive tried the option in rom manager to boot into recovery and ive tried just holding x and power at the same time. both just stick on the m logo...... thanks for your help. i really appreciate it. sorry if im not making sense. im still new at this. but it's people like you and forums like this that make me love my droid. people are all so helpful! =)
