[ROM] [6/6/2012] CM7 for the Droid Pro based on GB

Guys... I really don't know what to tell you regarding the data loss. I just SBFed, updated, rooted, wiped, and installed my newest build and it worked perfectly. My settings are working flawlessly, in fact everything is working flawlessly. Maybe you guys need to somehow get your settings not to by "sticky" and work normally by a certain combination of fix permissions and dalvik-cache wipes? Not sure, but I'm posting my newest build now.

I think this is the best build yet, I'm sure the battery life will be just like all the others since we fixed the camera (nothing has changed), Torch works, and the camera is fixed. The settings aren't sticking AND data switching works 100% of the time as long as I turn the Wifi OFF before I reboot my phone or power off

If I never said it before, zooming with the little bar on the camera for some reason force closes the camera since we upgraded to the Gingerbread kernel for some reason. If you really need your zoom, you can go to advanced options in the camera and set the zoom to the volume rocker. That's the only bug I can think of right now =)

MD5sum is fd7b355e228d796c0fe350fb5d69e175 Good1015.zip

I included the fixdataswitch into the new build, so if you haven't "activated" it by executing it in the terminal emulator, you can do so without having to flash the .zip I uploaded earlier, you can just skip .zip installation and go right to the terminal emulator commands

Yeah wifi is still not working for me. Tomorrow I'm SBF'ing to stock and starting clean. I'm going to go step by step to latest and hopefully it works. I think jackpot is right this thing works but you just got to do it clean. Sweet ROM. Gonna make it work.

Oh guys one more thing... go to mounts and storage and wipe your system. Then mount it, and install the .zip from sdcard then wipe dalvik cache and cache

Also remember to install your gapps after because you just deleted them when you wiped the system!! Much easier to install the rom and gapps in the same clockwork session because you won't have to resync your contacts and whatnot.

Well I just wanted to say that my wifi works noww with todays fix.
I also don't have a problem with the auto rotate not turning off.
I don't know if it will be a prroblem if I go and turn it on now but I'm not pushing my luck since its off and that's how I like it :)

I also didn't notice before but the keyboard problem has gone away with v1013, I can type in the gosms app without bringing up the large txt editor.

All in all, you seem to have succceeded in bringing me a nice stable, fast, and with the right theme, a beautiful phone.

Thanks

Edit; oh btw, torch doesn't work for me either.
No big deal since tiny flashlight works, just wanted to mention it.

Ok! I've done! Wifi seems ok...
With tasker I can switch off wifi automatically when I power off my phone. I must find a solution when rebooting...
Formatted system, data, cache, all...
Thank you JC!

Nice!!!!! So any other bugs? I know the dspmanager force closes on calls occasionally but it should go away magically for reasons unknown

I honestly can't believe the sticky settings are gone and wifi switching works! I'm not really sure why the torch wasn't working as mine is... did you wipe dalvik? Also, long press on torch, choose the app, and wipe the data for that app and see if the torch works =) I will submit for officials tomorrow!

Edit: also, I've found that rebooting without turning wifi off will make the setting go back to their old ways of being "sticky" (not working properly), and the wifi will work fine, however, if you turn off the wifi to go to 3g if you're leaving the house, it won't switch over to 3g. So not turning your wifi off before a reboot is a big no-no, but if you correct your mistake and turn it off with the wifi off, everything returns back to normal =)

What's wrong with the screen? And you should be able to tether with a tethering app. Personally, I don't tether but when I used to I'd download wireless tether

good! but strange... try turning off wifi, and running a fix permissions then a reboot? if that doesn't work then try a wipe of the dalvik-cache in clockwork the a fix permissions then a reboot

To everybody: I'm gonna implement a kernel check in new builds in a couple of days. That means I'd like everybody to have 4.6.8 as a base for these builds to keep everybody's system alike or bug reasons. Basically, if you haven't already taken the OFFICAL GB OTA, you should do so to have the latest kernel and the best radio files as well. If you don't have the OFFICAL GB OTA base, you won't be able to install it. I'm gonna upload the official .zip as well as a link to the 3.8.7 SBF. Once you SBF, you can boot directly into recovery (Power + R + M) and run the update.zip and you will have the GB base =) (you may need to do a factory reset if you bootloop)
