It seems if you can get your settings to not be "sticky" where they work as they should if they were working correctly, the data switching should be successful. Try running a fix permissions and rebooting. Are you being sure to reboot your phone with the wifi turned off prior to rebooting?

Camera button: I'm gonna look into a fix tomorrow. I may know what's wrong and how we can get a button for the shutter. However, I don't think I will be able to get the side button as a shortcut key like stock and I don't know if we will ever have a voice search button. Long pressing the magnifying glass is another way to activate the voice search

Well don't waste too much time on it. If you have an idea and can give us the button back then great, if not then so be it. No biggie it was just a shot in the dark.


Something else, you wouldn't happen to have verizon for your tv would you?
You see, there's a mobile remote app that, aside from being a nice remote control, also gives the ability to show pictures on tv by swiping the pic.
Problem is, I can't install the app from the market cause it tels me my phone isn't supported. But on stock it worked fine. (Last time I tried was on froyo though so maybe its a gb issue).

Anyway if I force the install by getting an older apk it won't connect and tells me I'm not connected to wifi. But I am indeed connected just fine.

So do you think its the app, the rom, or GB itself?

I should probably ask in main pro forum if it works on ota.

It's alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Pro is alive!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried to sbf to 3.8.7 once I finally got bootloader to open but it errored out. I unplugged the phone and went into bootloader again and it said:

Bootloader
03.0a

code corrupt



I tried SBF 3.8.7 again using SBF and the phone is running!!!!!!!!!!!!! yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm waiting on 4.6.8 update to finish so I can continue on my CM7 journey.

As far as the camera button issue, is there a way to use the Pro's original keyboard files with CM so that the phone recognizes the phone's side button and microphone button? If so, then I believe that using those along with button remapper, we could remap the side button as a shutter as on GB.

hahaha spoke too soon. by running, i meant the phone is booting up 3.8.7 but of course it keeps saying droid and looping. so i turn it off and restart with power+r+m, stock recovery comes up and lo and behold, my volume buttons don't work. lol. how am i supposed to scroll down to wipe data/factory reset so it will actually boot into 3.8.7?? at least i made it this far.

My wireless tether doesn't go (only ad hoc, not such as an access point)...! I can activate it without error, but I can't see...
Sometimes, when I lose the signal and then reconnect to my network, my data seems connect, but I can't surf...

Stupid question, but are you hitting "@" once you get into the recovery (or whatever the combination is now adays) to actually bring up the menu?

Power while holding the r+m button, wait for the triangle, hit the @ symbol and wipe system and cache. Had that exact same issue.

Sticky issue is no longer a problem once I learnt the trick of turning off wi-fi before rebooting.
However I'm having issues on getting data through wi-fi.

One stupid question.... wouldn't it be possible to extract the keyboard off the official 4.6.8 and use it for CM7?

A bit off the wall, but I can't figure out how to get my Google Music to sync with the Google Music Beta App. In "Accounts and Sync" the option does not even appear...anyone else noticing this?

You should be able to go in the app, then hit menu, Settings, and see Google Account at the top. If that doesn't show up, you might have to close the app, then clear data in Settings, reopen the app and check if it's there now.

Yes i'm using only gsm and sometimes i have this issue....!

So I did the fix permissions thing, and now everything seems to work properly.

So yeah, other than the side button issue and not being able to reboot with WiFi on, I'd say all the bugs are squashed. I'm still having keyboard issues, but I think that's just me. I'll do a complete wipe and get the OTA update and stuff tomorrow.

Oh, and I use GSM, but my WiFi works.
