For some dumb reason, if your phone loses a signal and later gets it back, the data doesn't resume. There's code in the source to resume data after a call is made and it reconnects to data after the call is ended. When this happens to me (once every few weeks) I usually call my voicemail, wait for it to connect, and hang up (it's free)

Calvin, I love your ROM but please fix the data switch problem man :( plz plz :( I promise more beer when you do this. :)

Are you on gsm or cdma?

GSM always. Using unlocked DP. It is like I change about 5 times between 3G and wifi so I have to reboot 5times. Plus another 3times if I need to do anything with choosing an option in the settings. Of course I have always followed your "Fix Permissions" and "Wipe Dalvik Cache" Methods. But you see rebooting always is a problem and a long work around. I tried that thing of calling voice mail to see if data can be restored but it never works until I reboot :(

Shoot. I'm really stuck right now when it comes to gsm as that always causes wifi issues when switching. The tough part is testing out anything I do because I have never used gsm before. Have you tried the apex port in the meantime?

Hey thanks calvin. I am ready to test it in case you have something up your sleeves.
I have no issues with apex rom and was one of first to test it and edit their status bars.
Please let me know if you need any help.

There's one question here, how to get back to Gingerbread 4.6.8 without nandroid backup...
What should i do to flash update 4.6.8.zip into CM7 rom... can i just install .zip from the CWM recovery?
Thank you guys and have a nice weekend

Not really sure what you're asking exactly, but in order to get to 4.6.8, you'll need to sbf back to 3.8.7, then flash the 4.6.8 in stock recovery

Thanks for the reply,
Means that would be safe to down grade the rom version.

After the OTA 4.6.8, I had tried to go to stock recovery but while I press @ button nothing appear but only triangle and the robot... any idea what when wrong?

The @ has been replaced by the volume up and down key simultaneously once you get to that screen

well guys, i figured this day would come. i've bricked my phone and i'm about 99% sure it's unrecoverable :( regarding future builds, i'll put out a weekly build that i'll be unable to test but i'm sure it will be stable as our builds have been stable for quite some time now. also, don't worry, i will still port ice cream sandwich from the droid x or droid 2/2 global once the devs being doing so :P

looks like it's back to the blackberry for now until i get the nexus whenever that comes out :P
