[ROM] [6/6/2012] CM7 for the Droid Pro based on GB

Data problems currently happen with gsm on cm7. It shouldn't happen with cdma, if and only if you remember to turn off the wifi before powering off/rebooting your phone. For some reason if wifi is on when the phone boots up, there will be data problems

Are you referring to the everyone with the dimness problems, or everyone with the data problems?

I have the data problem, and thought I wiped correctly.

im wondering that to because i wiped everything and have a backlight problem but only on this newest build i have had it no data problems here though.

Is there any way to fix the cdma wifi issue if your phone did reboot with wifi on? It was working after I first flashed CM7, and I don't remember rebooting with wifi on, but obviously something has happened. I have data through 3G, but when I turn on wifi it cannot connect.

I've tried the fixdataswitch through the terminal emulator and it doesn't fix it. I've rebooted into recovery and wiped the dalvik cache, still nothing.

Other ideas?

If I reflash CM7, will I lose all of my apps again?

BTW: Jackpot: This ROM is excellent.

So, if it's having data problems, and it's cdma, just turn OFF WiFi, reboot, and when phone is back on, turn WiFi back on? That simple?

I'm having problems with the keyboard backlight...it doesn't come back on with the screen! And Keyboard Backlight Controller isn't working... :(

This only stared after updating to the latest build, 1125g

There is something strange going on with the on-screen keyboard.. it seems to actually come up every time you tap a text input box, but it's not really visible.. just the very top of the onscreen keyboard is visible at the bottom of the screen and looks quite odd... it shouldn't be coming up at all in portrait mode since this is the Pro. On the other hand, when you flip to landscape mode and need the onscreen kb, it doesnt come up at all. Hence there is no way to type in landscape mode.

On an unrelated note, as I asked previously, is there any way to assign the dedicated camera button? Right now it does nothing. Same goes for the microphone key (bottom right corner of kb), it doesn't do anything.

I will once again reiterate how happy I am with CM7, it is fantastic, really a massive improvement over Verizon's Froyo build (and obviously the GB build which was a trainwreck). As long as these small issues are fixed, it will be flawless.

I think the keyboard issue is because this was ported over from another phone, so Jackpot did a workaround to keep the keyboard from popping up fully. I think he tried to keep it from popping up at all, but it caused the keyboard to force close. It should be popping up fully in landscape, though. If it's not, it's something that was broken with the new build. It works fine in landscape on my Pro, and I haven't updated to the new build yet (probably will today). Hopefully we can solve the keyboard problems for good at some point.

As for the camera key, that's also related to the keyboard. Right now, the only way to have that assigned to anything is to use the stock software, because it's only compatible with the Blur system. We can't port over the Blur keyboard to CM7 because it's incompatible. Maybe someone will figure out how to access the mapping for that key, but for now, it does nothing unless you're on the stock software. Even on the stock software, you couldn't make it the shutter button for the camera.

Installed. The keyboard still force closes for me, and WiFi still isn't working properly. The automatic scanning is being really fussy. Eventually I got it to connect, but it still won't connect to any pages. For some reason, it does connect to Google, but that's my home page, so it might be because it's stored in the cache. I tried my real router and Connectify from my laptop.

Question: Why does it say in About Phone that 226/475mb are used? I thought we had 1GB of on board memory?

Have you wiped and started over completely recently? For me, that's the only thing that fixed the keyboard force closes.

For the WiFi issue, try running the fixdataswitch mod.

I'm having WiFi problems, too, but I think that's more just my phone. I've had the problems for the past 2 weeks or so, even though it was working fine until then. When I get more time, I'll probably just wipe and start over. I need to get back to the old radio anyway.
