So I restored nandroid backup of 2.1update 1 root and skpe worked then updated to kangerade froyo stock fresh install wiped data and cache...this time market found skype but it force closes on login what shall I do

Does it force close when u open the market? I get a market force close when I first boot up sometimes but it always works fine when I go into the market

Yes i have had this problem too my cell signal is 50 without a signal? I have tried all the fixes and think this is the reason my battery life is worse on this Rom then others. I am not knocking it by a long shot it is one of the best out there!

Mine had an issue where clockwork was not flashing onto my device.I was trying to change my ROM and would go through the customizer but at the end it would go to the moto "M" screen then restart without ever applying the ROM.So I started flashing to SP then back to CW.I still do this as sometimes it does it again.Maybe this could be an issue here for some of you maybe.This is a really smooth ROM.All JRummy's ROMs seem to be incredibly smooth usually.

A search (a wonderful thing, that search box...) reveals that a lot of people are reporting this issue with Skype with a lot of different 2.2 ROMs.

The best suggestions that I can find and seem to be finding success is to use get Fring (which supports Skype) from the market and use that instead:

fring- make FREE Mobile calls, video calls &live chat to other fringsters, GTalk, AIM, Facebook, Yahoo and others.

I was wondering if there was a way to theme the google voice icon like from the cyanogen remix themes.. maybe a metamorph or something?

not a huge deal, but I would like to switch to the strawberry kangerade for awhile, but id really prefer if the google voice icon could be red. Just curious if there are any options for me.

I would like to know this as well.

I have read all 41 pages and I seem to have missed info regarding an updated 4.0.8 release. (I'm sure it's my reading skills that are to blame as well).

I hope my post doesn't rile you up, I just would like to know about an update and what it contains.

That's because there is no 4.0.8 release.. the only 0.8 anything is a cm release w remix customizer

I want to see if apps auto restore (after a wipe), gps location works for news and weather and beautiful widgets, and if that icon is gone.

Ahhhh...I did read about that. I think I will just wait for an official update as my .7 is working well.
