Does it force close when u open the market? I get a market force close when I first boot up sometimes but it always works fine when I go into the market

A search (a wonderful thing, that search box...) reveals that a lot of people are reporting this issue with Skype with a lot of different 2.2 ROMs.

The best suggestions that I can find and seem to be finding success is to use get Fring (which supports Skype) from the market and use that instead:

fring- make FREE Mobile calls, video calls &live chat to other fringsters, GTalk, AIM, Facebook, Yahoo and others.

well its just weird that one phone with froyo works with my skype but the other one doesn't i dont see why its blocking it if its not blocking it on my other phone

This is a "known issue", I loaded the .8 version JRummy posted earlier which resolved this bug for me. Hope that helps!

JR, Just installed this new Kang but I have to say the new music widget is wonky. Sometimes it just disappears all together. Now I am going to look for an oc kernel...

Hey Jrummy just an fyi but Chevy's Location fix update works on your build as well. Figured it would since all it does is push networklocation.apk onto the system. I would've used your fix but I didn't feel like reloading stuff today

Actually, that puts you in a really good position to help everybody figure this out, as you have one phone that works and one that doesn't.

Try to go back over the history of how you did the updates, what ROMs were used-the entire process. Something is obviously different there, so if you can pin down those differences that might help out other folks who are having the same issue.

As I say, I don't use Skype myself, but I'm always interested in issues like this and what can lead to the inconsistencies.

Everyone should be downloading alogCat(FREE) from the market place. I gaurantee it will help pin down any situation your having with roms.

I love this ROM...actually has some features that I prefer over BB0.4....however my battery life sucks now!!! Im at 40% where normally I'd be at 80%. As much as I love the themes and options...I gotta say I'm going back to BB 0.4.
