7-7-10 [ROM] Froyo Kangerade 5.0.9 *source built, 9 themes, bug fixes, many features*

I ran the script "a2sdon" and it indicates it killed 1 and apps2sd is on, but when i try to move my apps to sd card via the Applications menu, only a small handful of apps are able to be moved to sdcard...what gives?

Updated tonight from v1.1 to v5.0.9 (NexTang). Phone seems MUCH smoother and quicker now. Using stock kernel. Will update if I come across any issues but, so far, so good! Excellent job, Jrummy. Thanks!

It did sound like a good idea, but you have to remember most mods were made prior to 2.2 and as far as I've seen lately.....nothing like 2.2. Lol.

Anyone have screenshots for the x theme? Kind of interested in seeing that. Or a place I can see screenshots?

I can't seem to get a custom boot animation to work. I was using 'cyanogen4.zip" and loved the blue animation to go with the Blueberry Theme....

I tried using the scripts to change the animation, then I tried moving the .zip to /sdcard/ and naming it bootanimation.zip, then I tried changing it to update.zip. None of these worked.

Seems there was one other person with a problem installing a different boot animation.

I'm having the same problem, fresh installed, fresh wipe. Won't load any boot animation.

You guys can just rename /data/local/bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.old, then move the one from your SD Card to /data/local/ with your favorite file manager. I used Root Explorer, but I believe that Astro can do it too.

I know you're trying to let JRummy know that the script isn't working, but there are workarounds. Think outside the ROM. :)

Hey everyone, looking for some help here. I just switched over from 2.1 to this rom after wiping data/cache. Everything works great. However when I tried to install a kernal through rom manager all it did was flash the motorola screen for a bit, then it would reset and flash it again however this time it would boot normally past the red eye and to the main screen.

Separately I tried to backup my rom through rom manager and the same thing happened.

After this I shut down and tried to hold the power button plus x to manually boot into recovery but the same thing happened.

Basically my phone will not boot into recovery. Anyone know why?

I hope you know how much your work is appreciated. Your roms are so smooth and I haven't found a theme out there that beats all the work that you have already done. I have donated multiple times now because your work just keeps getting better. I just wanted to send a public thank you.

Same here!! Even used Root explorer which is how I usually change my boot Ani but still loaded back up with the stock Droid ani. Even if I choose I different one from ROM manager I only can get stock

Thanks for the help, wasn't really aware of how to do this previously. Now I know.

I tried the normal bootanimation.zip and it didn't work, then I extracted and tried the bootanimation.zip that was extracted to /bootanimation/system/media/ and put it where you said in /data/local/

Just wanted to say thanks! Struggled with installing some apps but a system wipe and fresh install solved the problem! Keep up the great work!
