everytime i install a kernel i either get a bootloop or my phone instantly has no battery and dies if its not plugged in.

Any ideas?

make sure they are kernals compatible w/ froyo ROMs

also make sure you are not trying to go to high.. your phone may not be able to handle it

I came from kangarade 0.1 and was running p3droids 1.25ghz
p3 1.25 kernal works on mine now, but when it boots i instantly have 0% battery and it shuts off. all other kernals boot loop on the M

Try ChevyNo1's Froyo LV/ULV kernels.

Its really not hard to do...just alter services.jar and swap out a few images....cake
