I have had this ROM with NexTheme loaded since last night and took it off the charger at 7 am this morning. It is not noon and I am at 60% battery with moderate use. Sure wish battery life was better on these roms. I am running chevy's ulv 1.1 kernel set to powersave.

I'm using the Keylime Pie Theme of this ROM and I went 36 hours without charging and even then it was only at 20%...with 'average' use:icon_ banana:

anyways how come your rom dont like my slideit keyboard jrummy?
i can use it if i restore from titanium but cannot find it on the market anywhere not even in my d/l's section and it is a purchased app

You should forget the slide it keyboard and download the swype one from https://beta.swype.com/android/get/. Its much better in my opinion or it seems to know what I want better.

ok it told me closed not accepting anymore beta. however i did watch the videos. yea blue keyboard looks good but that app is in no comparison to slideit. it dont even give options of words as you slide

So far seems to be hit or miss for this rom.
I've tried installing two flavors.
The Stock theme seemed pretty good.
Then I tried wiping (twice) and installing the droidx theme.
Seems to be duplicating my songs list in the music player.
Tried diff music player (mixzing), and it still showed duplicates.

Saw somewhere on this forum to try copying the music to my PC, deleting the music folder and re-copying them over and let the music repopulate it's database. That worked, until I rebooted.
Any ideas??

Sounds to me like there could be a corrupted file on the sdcard itself somewhere. I had issues awhile back like you described. I finally got so irritated I copied the entire SDCARD to my comp and then reformatted it via the phone to then manually moved things back little by little to try figuring out the issue. After getting everyhtig moved back over the course of 2 days never had the issue. So my only thought was it must have been the sdcard itself giving me grief for whatever reason.

you are not giving swype a chance, there is in fact options for word prediction which I believe would give you that feature, though swype by default shows words after swype. It also has the benefits of (at least when I tried slideit) being more accurate and having a better dictionary of starting words. when I tried slideit more than half my time I ended up with ??? for normal use words.

Also don't like not having multi function keys. two punctuations that's it? no numbers? It's a pita switching keyboard layouts just to use those. swype and shapewriter (my personal favorite after you use it a bit and it adapts to your use and you add some more words) both have punctuations and numbers on the main keyboard layout, usually just a long touch, and then if you wish you can change to a number or whatever only layout.

I probably should try slideit and see what improvements were made, but I thought it to be garbage when I used it.

You must have installed it before I reuploaded the roms with a market fix.. I posted an update.zip that should fix this on... idk... page 8 or 9.

I use pure calendar widget and found it in the market so that fix should work.

yea it is ot just a little really i originally asked why this rom dont like slideit and someone was showing an alternative. that i guess works with this rom


but i have the paid version i would assume it has more and better tuned features

Swype is the only way to go.

I consider shapewriter and swype both to be pretty equal in my eyes, though who knows what will happen to shape now that it's off market since they were bought by nuance. perhaps a super shapewriter will emerge? hope they don't kill it off.

I can just download the file and look, but I don't seem to see a listing of what the goodies file actually has or does. might be nice if a quick breakdown was added to the OP under the goodies link.

So how many times can you reinstall swype? Titanium doesn't seem back up the app just the install files. Using ShapeWriter now but I'd prefer swype.
