901 and received / installed the 902 soak test build??? Post here!!!

Any of you guys that were on leaked .901, did you deodex or were stock odex? I'm deodexed and I'm curious if the 22mb 902 update will install over that, or if i should nandroid back to odex 901?

Im on rooted .893 and I downloaded the .902 update and tried to update from recovery but I get an error about system/app/systemui.apk any help?

This update file posted in this thread is for .901 --> .902 only. It will not work on .893

Right; the file you want can be found at http://www.droidforums.net/forum/mo...on-5-5-893-xt875-verizon-en-us-who-needs.html Look at the name of the file. If you're at .893, the name for the file to get to should be Blur_Version.5.5.893.XT875.Verizon.en.US.zip. The name will be where you're coming from, not where you're going to.

WARNING: That is also the name of the file to get to .901. I suggest getting it from the thread I posted.

Totally worked. Did the manual update to 901 then followed this to 902 and kept root with forever root. Awesome!

Just finished flashing FantomPhlasher's .902 file from post 38 of this thread - went very smooth & I'm now on .902 with the .1F.00 Baseband. I had sideloaded .901 and was perma-rooted since December, and root has been maintained in .902 -- ROM was stock but I had installed Safestrap -- only uninstalled Recovery in Safestrap before flashing -- no bloatware had been frozen or uninstalled --

I'm not in a 4G area tonight -- and my house is weak 3G overall but I am clearly seeing a 3G signal in some areas where I had none before, so initial results are quite promising.

Thanks to all the fellow posters for providing the file & experiences that gave me confidence to flash this upgrade.

One more tip: if you have root explorer you can look at the properties of the zip file on your /sdcard-ext & will see the MD5 calculated to verify the file before flashing --

Well I tried that but the same errors so I think I'll just end up restoring factory then try it if all else fails

Seems like I've tried this a 100 times and i always get a e signature verification failed abort. Dl on the phone and the pc. Had this issue back on my inc don't remember how I got it fixed.

Tryied the 893-> 902 and get the following error:

Assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/app/Preloaded.apk", ...

and then a crap load of numbers. and suggestions on what to do now???

901 to 902 worked perfectly, thanks! I retained root, but it overwrote safestrap. I guess I'll just reinstall it.

Did you install 902 in safestrap? would that be a bad idea?

Safestrap does not allow installation of factory zip files, only roms. I only know because I was having issues with my install from .893 initially and tried for the heck of it.

I had 5.9.901 that was manually installed and had made some changes to build.prop and a lot of frozen bloatware. Prior to changing build.prop, I made a copy and just replaced the edited version with the original but DID NOT unfreeze any of the bloat and the 22.5 mb file worked perfectly. Oh, and I had the odexed version of 5.9.901. I am now on 5.9.902 and retained root. HUGE thanks to everyone who made this possible.

Although I could see and select update file, I received error of SD CARD NOT MOUNTED even though I had not unmounted card so I am not sure how he did it.

I finally got it last night. Had to grab my oem 16gb sd and reformat it before i stopped getting the error signature verification failed. So far the batt seems better and i caught 4g about 6 miles farther out on my drive into work this morning. Its ALL Good!
