Thanks, you're a lifesaver dude! I was getting really worried. I had done just a regular rebooted several times and still got the same error.
I shutdown, battery pull, re-seated the sd-card, rebooted, deleted the original file, re-downloaded it, and tried again. Installed flawlessly this time. dancedroid

Just make sure you look at your phone info carefully. My phone showed that it was on 902 but the last four digits of my baseband version was 1E.00 instead of 1F.00. If that is the case then install the update again and that will correct that as well. Not sure why it happened the way it did but it was easily corrected.

My system version and baseband look exactly correct now that it updated without aborting for the first time!
Here's a screenshot of what it looked like the first time it failed / I re-booted before I did your battery pull suggestion: showing 902 system version but 901 baseband, lol, totally FUBARed
For whatever reason the apt i live in doesnt allow for my phone to stay connected to 4g for a long period of time. Not like it stays connected everywhere else anyway. The improvement im seeing is in the fact that my phone goes to 3g a lot quicker than it was before. Before when the 4g went out, the time the phone spent going back to 3g was noticeable to say the least. Not so any more. So it seems the 3g 4g handoff is improved. At least for me at home anyway. BTW i updated to .902 from .901

I add my thanks to FantomPhlasher for his .902 update. I installed it and kept root. After the install the phone was sluggish, probably because it was rebuilding cache. I pulled the battery after 30 minutes and it was fine.
I installed after a first abort, battery pull etc., and it still will not load, I am running Kin3tx, with the .901 files, would I need to go back to no rom, on .901 to get the .902 update?
im on 901 from manual install stock rom just deleted some bloat. When it goes to install 902 it aborts code 7 etc.
Any thoughts? using dowload from post #38. md5 is good
