Just adding a confirmation, the post 38 update worked just fine on my leaked 901 phone. Kept root no problem. Amazing job by this community getting this all straight so quickly.
I was an 901 OTA back last 19 Dec. Here's my Dropbox link to the 22.5 M OTA file I received tonight. http://db.tt/GFqAz7lA Let us know how it works as my 901 is working great and I don't really want to break what's not broken. Sent from my DROID BIONIC
Ok I used this one it started to patch my phone from .901 but then it failed with this message. E:error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip(status 7) But when I rebooted the phone says I now have. version 5.9.902.XT875.Version.en.US. baseband CDMA_N_04.06.00R LTEDC_U_07.1E.00 webtop WT-1.3.0-108_DBN-24 kernal 2.6.35.7-g83f1a47vwm736@il93inxdroid43 #1 build 5.5.1_84_DBN-71
Just installed the update from post #38! It worked like a charm once I put the right file on sd-ext heh. I flashed my old .901 twice before realizing what I was doing. I didn't unfreeze any apps and thankfully kept root!
Thank you to all who have posted info on this update!

Try the battery pull and reinstall it may fix your issue. Your baseband should be 1F.00 not 1E.00 after the update.
Those that are getting the status 7 error, how many of you removed bloat rather than just freezing it? Just wondering if that could have something to do with it.

Ok thank you that did it the Patch completed that time. My phone was on a .902 with nothing removed left just the way it patched. And baseband is 1F.00 now.
I installed after a first abort, battery pull etc., and it still will not load, I am running Kin3tx, with the .901 files, would I need to go back to no rom, on .901 to get the .902 update?
Yes, you should be flashing this over a stock version of 901. Flashing any OTA over anything but completely stock will make it fail, some people have been able to get away w/ having things frozen, but a majority will fail if anything is missing/modified.
Just downloaded and installed the .902 update. I was previously on the .901 leaked version I got from here. It took me about 8-10 minutes to install it and it went through without a problem. I live in Northern NJ and I had a TON of data drops when I updated to .901. My friend lives in DE, did the update and didn't notice any drops. Could just be my area. I already notice my phone running alot smoother with .902. Thanks again to everyone on here for the instructions. I really appreciate it! dancedroid
Thanks Fantom Phlasher,
Worked like a charm. From leaked 901 stock, no root.
I lost root way back when the 901 leak first hit. I actually don't care that I lost root. 901 was a drastic improvement for me and there is very little I want to do that I can't work around with stock. I think my phone actually performs better stock.
I'm running on the leaked .901 and forever rooted.
During the .902 update, I'm also getting the error:
E:error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip(status 7)
but before that, looks like a checksum error in /system/build.prop
I'm guessing it's because I used ROM Toolbox to tweak the Wifi Scan Interval. Anyone know what the default should be for the WiFi Scan Interval? Or can someone send me a stock (for .901) build.prop file?
I just want to say...THANK YOU FantomPhlasher!!!!!! You are a lifesaver for those that appear to have been off the upgrade path. This worked great for me who sideloaded the .901. I was forever rooted, so I therefore still kept root too.
