Sorry if this has been asked before but its maps force closing for anyone, I flashed the patch for 7.0 yesterday and today I was trying the maps app and I keep getting FC's any idea how to fix it?

Thanks

Well for me it isn't Maps but rather another Google app, GMail that's FC'ing continually... I was so high on how smooth UD was running, then all of a sudden started getting continuous FC's with that after I changed kernels, and still after switching back to the kernel that had been running so smooth prior....
So I'm taking a break for now and have Nandroided back to Sapphire v1.0, and plan to flash a backup of UD later tonite... that should fix the FC's of GMail and then will see if it was a bad kernel flash.

No radio

I may be mistaken, but wasn't there going to be an FM radio on 2.2? If so, I can't find it.
Back in the early days of release the original alldroid had some guys working on the the fm radio for the droid becasue the processor supports it but it was not hardware coded for the droid ie not hooked up to headphone jack for attena and some other needed stuff . They had never given an actual dfinalety not possible but after alldroid went away i never saw anyone else try to get this working so i am thinking it is not hardware posssible.

Thank you to EVERYONE who helped me out with getting the UD6 launcher to work. I finally got it! You guys really impress me with your knowledge.

One other thing that I encountered was that the P3Droid kernels I've tried all have issues with my bootanimation and jump kinda high in CPU temps after a while of higher loads... are you guys getting those kernels from his site?

Yes and no issues. I do stick with the 250-1000 or 250-1250 LV kernels.

Not sure why they aren't working correctly for me on my Droid...they work fine on other ROMs, and this was from the very begining before I customized UD with my own compiled theme and bootanimation...

Am going to try the Lithmod kernel in a while...

Wow... this heat issue seems to be unsolvable with UD7 for me... even with Chevy's uLV kernels the idle CPU temp rarely dips below 30c... and with almost every kernel and prolonged internet usage, the temps go to the upper 40c-50c+...........might be a deal-breaker for me...

From such a high feeling to being bummed out... too bad...:(

With both Sapphire and BB the idle temps always go down below 30c and usually gets down to the lower 20c's... and even with extended DolphinHDBrowser usages the temps rarely go over 40c....

Too bad, since I was loving the tweakability of UD, which is even more than Sapphire and far easier to do than on BB..... ah well....

Same here. System not responding error at startup, but one it insuperable I have no problems. Have tried everything in the world. The problem happens less often with the 250 kernels vs 150, but it still happens. System log shows that location services hang.

I am using ChevyNo1's ulow 1.1 7slot kernel and mine idle's between 85f & 90f. Even with heavy usage it never goes higher than 106f.

Yeah, that's how it runs on my Droid using Sapphire or BB, and on BB I use Chevy's MV 1.0 GHz kernel...

I already tried Chevy's 1.1 GHz uLV kernel but it still ran hot.

Quick Q neil... where did you download UD7 from?... from this thread's link or from UD's site?

this is really weird im having a freezing cold issue with my phone haha 22c and full load 40c my room temp is 75degree's

Well if you're still running UD v6.0 w/P3's 1.0GHz kernel, then you're disqualified from this thread....lol :p... As I've said, that's how my Droid usually runs using the other two ROMs, Sapphire v1.0 & BB v0.4, but for some reason UD runs hot on any kernel...
Am going to reflash the ROM and redo...:)

BTW... even when my room temp is 85f my Droid can get down to the 20's
