I'm fine with the stock kernels performance but would flashing a different kernel improve battery life?

Also can we disable the pop up every time it grants superuser permission? Gets in the way of screen shots most of the time for me.

Go into the Superuser app settings. Uncheck Notifications or change it from toast to notification area.

Ever since I installed UD7, I cant get Google googles to work anymore. it keepd Force Closing. Anyone else having this problem.

I just tried my out and seems to be working. I haven't had any issues with UD making any apps crash.

i have lost the functionality to change font and boot animations. I know it worked at some point, because I had changed it a few times. I'm currently stuck on the stick figure boot animation and a font that looks cool, but makes it difficult to read at times. Do you know what I can do to gain this functionality back? Do I need to re-install the ROM?

BTW - I know sometimes it takes a re-boot to take effect. I have been trying that with no luck as well. Everything else works perfectly.

I had that problem with UD6. But it appears to be corrected, at least for me, on UD7. I dont know whats going wrong with your rom.

I signed up at Black Droid Mod Forums so I could download UD7 and the update, but never got the email verification . Tried changing my email address, but still no notification. And... since I cannot post in that forum asking for help until I am verified, I thought I would ask here if anyone else is having this problem.

You can download it from the source forge link in ultimatedroid website without getting the email notification.

Yes thanks I already did. The reason I wanted to get the forum sign-in is that it lists the latest 7.0 as of 8/19 which I suspect is newer than the one on sourceforge. I did get the updated patch though so maybe that is good enough.

I was an BB fan and I've now converted over to Sapphire. I've used UD in the past and it was quite snappy but I've never been a fan of the themes.

If the Revolution theme was ported over for it i'd be all over that.

I finally got UD 7 on my phone and its great, now I want to do a fresh wipe and clean and update my kernel, i dont remember what kernel I installed with bb 0.4

Whats better, to do a specific kernel, or use the stock kernel and use setcpu to alter speeds?

And whats the best kernel that runs with UD 7? i currently have

kernel version: 2.6.32.9-g103d848 android build@apa26 #1

That is the stock kernel. When you installl a rom it installs a low speed compatable kernel. Usually 800mhz, that's what ud's is anyways.

Either way use setcpu. For best kernel, varies phone to phone. Just try some out from different people to see who's runs the best for you.
