[ROM] [Alpha] Ics4Bionic 01-25-2012

Advice...

Can someone give me some advice? I was using the Unleashed Theory ROM for a while with no problems. I decided to try out the Kin3TX Rom "KIN3TX_V1.0_FINAL_SIGNED.zip" Loaded it, worked fine. I then thought it would be a great idea to run "KIN3TX_AOSP_TRANS_ADD_ON2." and "KIN3TX_TPAX_ICS.zip" After loading both these on, my data is dead. I was stupid and didn't read the part about using safestrap for ICS....I loaded ICS on directly and I'm assuming this is my culprit. Is there any way to fix this, flash back to stock, etc? I flashed back to the Unleashed Theory ROM but still no data. GRRRRRR....I want to fix this! Any thoughts??

Thanks Barrmy! I see the link now. I guess I missed it on my first read thru...

THANKS!! It worked! :) :) I'm back to 3G!! I thought I was still having issues because 4G LTE STILL wasn't working. Turns out VZW's 4G Network was down most of the day today nationwide. Go figure...the 1 day I decide to mess with my phone and VZW's Network goes down at the same time! Couple hours of my life wasted troubleshooting! Thanks VZW!!! :icon_evil:

Link is live in the Original post with a new changelog. The builds on twitter are auto uploads when I build with incremental changes. Any major changes will be posted here along with a changelog.

I'll still need those library files since I'm on the 901 kernel, though, right?

Yes you will still need to add in the files if you are on .901. Until we know for sure that is the upgrade path I am not going to force everone onto the new radio.

Help needed urgently - copied zip file onto internal memory card instead of external

Hello all,

This is the first ROM that I am trying to install onto my BIONIC. I used to have the OD and it only had the one SD card so I knew where to install the zipped file. In this situation, I was following the steps to the tee but when I got to the point of installing from SD card, that's where I realized that I had installed the zipped file onto the internal memory and I was not able to navigate to that internal memory. Now that I have used my friend's BIONIC to copy the zipped file over onto my external SD card, I tried to install it by holding the up/down buttons and the power button to get into BOOT MODE where I went down and selected RECOVERY. Once in RECOVERY mode, I get the exclamation mark inside a white triangle and the little green android on a black screen. From there I hit the up/down buttons at the same time again and got into the Android system recovery where I tried to select APPLY UPDATE FROM SDCARD. I selected the ICS4BIONIC_Alpha_2011-12-28-20_08 file from the SD card and get the following results:

--- Install /sdcard ...
Finding update package ...
Opening update package ...
Verifying update package ...
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.

At that time, I remembered the old-school days when we used to have to change the file name from ICS4BIONIC_Alpha_2011-12-28-20_08 to update.zip

I tried that and got the same exact error message. I am not able to get back into the BIONIC BOOTSTRAP screen to even try a RESTORE (which I had backed up just prior to trying all this).

Is there a way to get into BIONIC BOOTSTRAP right from the bootup or does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this ROM installed from the Android system recovery screen?

Thank you. HELPPPPPPPP!!!!!:frown:

im sure there is a way to fix it and ill let the others that know more than i tell you how. but just wanted to point out that if you were "following instructions to a tee" you would of known you CANNOT use bootstrap. you need to have safestrap.

I just restored to stock and I'm back in business. Disregard previous request
