Yeah 1x will always work but 3G is only when network issues

i was curious how hard it was to get the radio working for phone calls, i know a developer trying to work on getting ics for the droid 1 is having a big issue with the radio and audio working for phone calls, considering they are both motorola cdma phones i thought any imput might help

What I did was let ics build rild libril and libreferenceril and used the rest of the ril from the phone

I tried following the Rootzwiki instructions to switch to the 901 radios, but when I dial the 4636 number, all I get is unknown radio, regardless of the radio type I select. I went through the whole process twice...

Any ideas?

This is a bit off topic, but I was curious if anyone could help me out.I installed safestrap last night and was running ICS4Bionic just fine. Today, I tried to switch back to my primary rom and I got an error saying cannot restore /data. I rebooted the phone and am now stuck at a black screen. I pulled the battery and ended up at the stock ICS4Bionic Rom again. I just cant seem to disable the safe system. How do I get back to my Eclipse rom on the unsafe system?

It appears that your back up of the primary rom has been corrupted or changed, thus not allowing the restore to function. This happened to me once and this is what I did. In safestrap, under the safeboot menu, i did the quick Toggle safe system. I believe this will disable the safe system, but bc your backup has been corrupted, when you reboot, it's just gonna boot loop. so after it disables, you're gonna have to wipe everything and reinstall the rom. You'll have to start over, but at least it's not bricked. I can't guarantee thats going to work, but i've done it that way before.

I'm running Alpha 12-28 with pasted in 901 radios...

He means is your base ROM updated to .893, .901, etc.

There is no pasted in radios. If your stock ROM is on 5.5.886, 5.5.893, 5.7.893 or 5.8.894 ICS4 BIONIC well work fine, no file replacement required. If your stock ROM is on 5.9.901 then and only then do you use the lib.so files to make ICS4 BIONIC work with that radio. That process does not add the radio, you have to already have it and then you replace those files to make ics work with that radio.

Now, you'll need to either flash the 901 radio, or re-flash ics stock.

Sorry to but in here but is this for getting 3g data to work? or just to get the rom to work in general?

I know we don't have LTE yet on this rom but if 3g data can work consistently I'll drop all I'm doing and flash right now.
