If you want to disable mobile sites in the native browser
Did some searching around and no one on this forum has posted how to do it.

-Open browser
-Type "about:debug" in the address bar - press "go" Nothing will happen, this will only enable more options in the menu
-go to menu -> more -> settings
-scroll down to "UAString"
-Select "desktop"

your good to go

I am waiting for the update to come out OTA (being forced to by my wife because I tend to mess EVERYTHING UP...according to her :icon_ banana anyway....


How smooth is the scrolling now? Is it smooth or still a little choppy?

also, is the security issue fixed? talking about getting an incoming call and being able to get into the phone.....


lastly, How is the battery? Has the life of it increased?

ya....this forum is "f-ing" amazing.....between this forum and the phone itself I dont have time to work...may have to retire at age 36....only problem is still paying off my large school bill from UW Madison...:icon_eek:

I don't know about the security issue (I actually don't get a lot of calls and forget that it's a phone LOL) , but everything seems smooth and the battery life seems to definitely improved (even with live wallpaper). My only disappointment is I was hoping for more home screens.

I spoke to a family member here in Utah that works for Verizon. She said the update is not out as far as her email states. Why are they not aware. She has not received the update on her Droid yet either.

Since the update? Working fine for me after I manually updated.

In 2.1 it only lights when the phone is turned off and you get a notification. If you are using the phone when one comes in the light will not light. Apparently this is a "feature".

I just read that if you get the OTA you get FIVE screens. I'm pissed now, how do I undo my manual update?

It really is i just notice that it only lights when the phone is sleeping, once I unlock the phone the light goes away. Also while I'm using it and i receive a email the light doesn't flash, which is very annoying.
