Android 2.1 Update Rolls Out For Motorola Droid!

Need some help.

I need to know that those instructions from Android Forums actually DO work. I've got a guy right now with the option to update.

They *should* work. At the very least, after downloading the update, you can always yank the battery before rebooting and pop the microSD card out and copy it from an external reader... (if available)

i just placed a bet in vegas.. saying we wont see a link to the update until after 100 pages.. prove me wrong someone.. ;)

cant wait to see what happens with the post 2.1 major update. :P

I bet 50million virtual dollars we will see it before 100 pages

I swear that Motorola decided to push the update to people with kidish, middle school email address so that way there would be no possible way of someone successfully saving the update to their computer to upload for the rest of us...

lol seriously

Unless android does some kind of wipe on the SD card the file should be recoverable. I'm not sure what software can be used but I remember software existing to restore deleted files from an SD card.

Don't do that , it may be in /cache and then you need to do do an ADB pull . Ahh , who am I kidding , nobody who will get this update will know how to save it .
