Android 2.1 Update Rolls Out For Motorola Droid!

I'm gonna apologize in advance. I haven't read any posts in this thread and only read a few post in all of the 30 other threads with the same title.

All I really want to know is, Is my Droid gonna be able to play Flash???? Of course some of the other update features are nice and interesting but Flash is what I want.

Instructions to grab the file are not correct. That's 2 people now reporting that they are not seeing the second "Restart and Install" screen and instead going straight to boot.

And One thing I notice is that my gmail stopped giving me audible notifications... I'm getting messages of responses here that I didnt know I had unless I check. hmm

see if it clears the issue

Not in the 2.1 update, that's between adobe and motorola.

at some point yes the phone will have flash but, not with this update (if there actually an update) sorry

Safe bet is that's going to be a seperate release straight from Adobe (probably a market download) and not an OS update.

I just tried that...It said success with the triangle/exclamation point icon but I didn't have anything to update not even apps.

Not in this update.

Probably not in any update. Flash will most likely be a program available through the market when Adobe releases it.

By the way, when it reboots to install the update, pull the battery.

Take out the micro sd and pull the update.zip from it.

I just wanted to make sure folks were seeing this.

I just spent 2hrs reading this thread! I reached the end! Even though I didn't get the update, (thought I might because I got it last update on day 1, of course I didn't end up unrooting until after midnight so even though I don't think that makes a difference) I am soooo happy I got the end of this thread before more post appeared!

BtW I too call my phone a lier when it says my phone is up to date! LOL
