Anyone have an LG G watch?

I trust you. I guess there were two apps on my Maxx that did not have a Reply option...Mail and Messages.

I think you can start a new Text on the watch though, with the stock Messaging app on the phone. Say OK Google into the watch...send text to Name...and start a new text that way.

Yes, you can start a new text via voice. Unless I'm in my office with the door closed, I'd feel really funny talking into my watch with others around
I just installed the Coffee app to try. Honestly, I think I'm being too picky for my own good. All I really *need* to be able to do is read the things.... The customization of vibrations for various contacts piqued my curiosity enough to make me really want to give Coffee a try. Well, that and the name of the app, actually :p

The coffee app is kinda fun! I don't need to type on my phone and the preset responses seem to be good enough for a quick response if I don't feel like pulling out my phone.

I'll give it a day or so, then test drive another app. Maybe Textra next and EvolveSMS after.

Thanks again for all your help!

I figured you'd like that one when you said you don't want to talk to your watch. You'll find over time (at least I did) that it's handy to be able to use your voice. Not to mention, you get good at concealing it so you don't look like a weirdo. My favorite move is to use my left hand (where the watch is) to scratch or massage my right shoulder. This way, my arm crosses my body and I can speak very softly into the watch that's right by my face. ;)

I also really like it for starting music in my truck. My cheap BT adapter doesn't always start music up right away when I push the play button. It's super convenient to just say, "Ok Google. Play some music." into the watch rather than digging my phone out. Especially over the Winter. Not to mention, I can then give thumbs up or thumbs down to songs via the watch, further bettering the recommendations I receive from Google Play Music. With my watch hand on the steering wheel and using the other one to tap on the face, my eyes are taken away from the road considerably less than if I'd do the same thing on my phone.

I've been playing around with it a bit today and it seems to fill the "needs", okay..., the "wants" I have. In the grand scheme of things, this is really silly, but it's what this girl is fixated on at the moment :p

I can't bring myself to talk into my watch yet LOL! I dunno. Maybe it's because I work in security and feel like I am being a 007 wannabe or something  I'm sure I'll get over it eventually, but for now, I'll stick to tapping and sliding on the screen. Your suggested covert moves may work for me when I get a little more comfortable with the whole talking into the watch thing....

I normally only talk to my watch when showing off features to people that ask about it; especially since our Droid phones have so much hands free functionality built in. But sometimes when my wife texts me and my phone is not in driving mode, and I want to send a quick reply it is so easy just to say a few words into the watch as a reply and never touch my phone. I also really like the quick emoji / draw a reply features that came with the most recent update; makes it so easy to send a simple thumbs up reply to a text. And, like Jonny stated, using my watch to skip tracks while driving helps me stay focused on the road since I drive left handed and wear my watch on the left wrist, quick swipe and tap and the next song is playing.

I did not know that I could thumb up / down songs from my watch. Learned something new today and will definitely try that out. Thanks Jonny! :)

Definitely recommend this Find My Phone app. Totally smokes the one that comes on the watch from Google.
It's faster and has the #1 feature I need: get out of range and the watch vibrates and asks if you're forgetting your phone.
The built in one doesn't. Must have.

It's good to be talking and posting more often in this thread, and any Android Wear thread. Learning new things and remembering things I had forgotten (like the above app). Good stuff! [emoji41] [emoji106]

How do you draw an emoticon? I "blocked" the text app because I was getting duplicate notifications on the watch. I guess I need to unblock it (how do I do THAT?) and then draw from that app?
I'll have to check out the features for when I am listening to music. My commute today didn't permit listening to tunes so I didn't try it out yet...

I noticed this from somewhere in a thread, goodness I've read a lot and lost track of where I've seen things. I stopped what I was doing and installed it immediately! Thank you!

If whatever texting app you are using on your phone supports Reply from the watch....when you get a new text tap the Reply Via SMS option then scroll down just a little and select Draw Emoji. Draw any standard Emoji (smiley face, thumbs up hand, etc) and the watch will show options it thinks you drew and then tap the one you want to send.

Is your watch on Android 6.0.1? Maybe that's why you don't see the Emoji option? Go to Settings > About > Versions. If it's not 6.0.1 go back to Settings > About and tap System Updates. It can sometimes take a while for the check to register through the phone and prompt you to install the new update on the watch.

I think the reason I don't see the draw feature is because I didn't know it existed, then "Blocked" it from my watch so I was using Coffee solely. How do I "Unblock" an app on my watch? Once I get access to it on my watch again I'll let you know.. Oh! Yes, I am on the current version, thanks!
