Battery life

Thanks. I never did a full idle test as I constantly have to be on it whether it be text or calls. But I guess a full day of moderate use sounds about right. I figured average discharge is 5-6% per hour.

Words with Friends caused issues on the Droid X or Bionic if I remember correctly...dont know if its been fixed if it did cause issues.

Widget Locker caused battery issues on the Bionic. I think its been updated with a fix by now tho. Sometimes it can be an app here n there that effects battery life too.

Is that just powering off then turning it on?

I just uninstalled six apps and reset my phone each time and even now my phone is still on 68% OS use... I don't get it

No..There is a way by getting into the stock recovery and wiping data factory reset..Google it or call Verizon for the walk through ..usually holding power and down while off will do this. This is the only device I haven't MOD'd due to its maturity is still new. Try that or in settings there is a factory reset in privacy I believe..I will start my flashing and all next week when all the ROMs should be ready or at least hopefully an sbf..

What I've found is my phone will not go to full sleep mode if the wifi is connected. Unless I use the smart action app to turn the stuff off like others are doing, I actually get better battery life with the phone just using 3G or even 4G.

Well... after completely restoring factory style, my Android OS is back down to 5% lol. I'm going to slowly install apps and see if anything changes. I hope I won't have to do this again. Sigh

If you take it one at a time and watch over the next few days you should find the culprit. The razr is a great device but not all apps play nicely on the battery...lol Hope all works well for you!

The biggest saver for me has been setting up the "Smart Action" to disable cellular data and background sync while my screen is off. Also I was perusing the Iphone forums since the thought had crossed my mind to trade the Razr for the Iphone 4S, don't judge I said the thought "crossed" my mind. Anyway I saw someone on there suggesting for better battery life to turn off the phone from auto detecting the time zone, which would make sense because that is something checking against the network for time. So in the Android date and time setting I took off the automatic time from the network servers option. Will see if that has any affect on the battery as a whole, with pretty minimal use today I am on 11 hours unplugged and only down to 80% left so for me that is a good day.

I'm going to have to keep an eye on this. I tried this with phones that werent activated anymore and my time wasnt correct. (was using them as mp3 players and other things) Never really tried with my activated phone. Would be nice if it works.

Just a follow up. Turned my phone on now and Android OS is at 7%. Fingers crossed

I'm a bionic owner. Extremely happy. My buddy bought the razr and its great except 1 thing-battery life. He must carry a charging cord constantly with him. My bionic gets 8-15 hours with 4g. Then I can just pop in my extra battery. On 3g, I can go all day and this is with above average use. What was moto thinking?
