[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for the Droid X

That's where I thought it was supposed to go (system/media). Did you try putting it in the audio subfolder in system/media? There are also sub folders under system/media/audio that you can try as well.

I'm wondering about trying miui out how would I go from cm7 to miui? Is there any updates to miui I haven't seen any in ROM manager. People have said its better than cm7 with no issues so im somewhat curious to try it.

I liked MIUI. It is a very clean and different ROM. I had no issues with it. If you are on the Froyo kernel, just wipe and flash it. It you are on GB, you must sbf, or use the TBH all in one Froyo zip from the app.

The best and most up to date place to get MIUI is miui.us

Yeah, its nice and full of themes, but, I'm more of an android os kind of person, and if you are too, use launcher pro on miui for this effect so you won't have the iphonish feel, but you will have the iphonish settings and all...but I really hate to use the word or device name iphone as this rom is sweet..check it out!

Hey sorry for the noob question, but I just came across this thread. I don't own this phone, have other android phones, I'm getting requests to get cm7 on some of my friends phones....

Anyhow my question is this: Do you need to sbf to 340 before the install if your already running the 2.3.1.5Version stock/rooted ROM? Since this has the froyo kernel was just wondering if its necessary to sbf 340 or can I skip that and go ahead and jump to installing droid2bootstrap>recovery>install CM7?

Thanks

You have to be on .340, so you'll need to sbf or install Froyo from the TBH app

Jump! Jump!

It is nice to be back on the gb leak base again. I was able to try the new apex rc3 which was very nice. I'm back to cm7 though.

Dl revs 8/28 build as I write.

So, since this writing it seems like the GB CM7 is stable, correct? Anything to look out for?

Maybe I'll give it a try this weekend - my ROM flashing got deferred when I lost power on Saturday!

It'll be down for a day or two apparently.

As for cm7gb, it's totally stable man. Just as stable as the one you're on.

Thanks, ldopa!

So, I assume the TBH all-in-one to .602 and then flash the revnumbers mod by wiping and mounting, etc., is the way to go?
