Bionic crawls out of the grave!!!

IMO the Bionic looks better, sure it's plain but it doesn't have that huge hump on the back of it. Either way I'll still be getting this phone or the S2, whichever comes out first most likely.

I am hoping for 1Gig DDR2 Ram. Not what the did with the Atrix 512Mb DDR2 for Notebook Dock and 512mb DDR2 Ram for the phone. Just 1gb of straight DDR2 Ram for the phone.

I don't believe tethering breaks any laws, but it does violate the terms of service so VZW can cancel service if they want. Or they can just charge us for it.

Whether or not deliberately circumventing a system to obtain a paid service for free is considered illegal or not, it is utterly disappointing that it's this same old tired argument is what is being commented upon when the gist of my post addresses completely different topics. I don't know why people are so hung up on the term "illegal tethering". Maybe it insinuates criminal activity? I should write "unauthorized tethering" so the topic of my post won't be disregarded.
Sorry for the rabbit trail, my comment was meant to support your point. VZW will do what it can to maintain margins. They want to make money on their network, so they will do what they deem necessary to do that.

No need to apologize. :) I shouldn't of dragged you into this when I'm more whining in general. I do appreciate your thoughts though.

Yes that is exactly what I want too! and also a 1.3 or higher FFC, 1080p video capture and better camera, but I could do without those.

No prob. Now I just want this phone to come out with OMAP 4, 1 GB ddr2, and unencrypted boot loader. I guy can dream right?
-plus a laptop dock would be cool too, if we are wishing.

I do prefer the form factor of the TB to the form factor of the Bionic shown at CES. I'm glad they are retooling that.

I want the OMAP 4 dual core 1.5 GHz processor which is what I think will be in there with 1 gb DDR2 ram unlocked bootloader, and wait for it....stock android!! But we all know that will never happen. and I wouldn't mind a better camera the targa was supposed to have a 13 mp camera so I hope that automatically means a top of the line camera(for a phone). And I want the form factor to resemble the bionic more than the targa. Not really a fan of that hump.

Hey, you got me convinced. Good luck convincing Verizon.

Yeah illegal is a strong word to throw around..... lawlz & yes it implies criminal activity.

Sorry I just don't like the spread of misinformation & after the second paragraph of your post it was the same old "this is why Moto does stuff & it's someone's fault" witch-hunt/blame game this forum is has been full of ever since the P3....*thing.

OT why would anyone want another OMAP revision?
Moto+OMAP=Efuze (brick).
At least with the targa there is a chance of a work a round.

& can this thing read fingerprints or not?!?

The bionic has no fingerprint reader. That's only on the Atrix.

EDIT: It does however have a neuralizer. :p

Maybe a blood sample like the movie
'Gattica" Only my DNA can wake up the device.

Attrix can read fingerprints? That is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

I'm feeling ya, ktech! Just what I want too in the dog days of summer.

And Brooklyn, I agree that the original Bionic design is cooler. I don't dig the hump, either. But based on what the Moto email said, it seems like they'll be going for a new design concept. On the other hand, it would be strange if the picture that Moto has up on its site of the Bionic were to suddenly morph into something like the leaked Targa pics. [edited to remove redundancy]

So what of all the "rumors" if the improved form factor and additional features don't align with the Targa? Would this then mean a 3rd device that replaced the Bionic and then launching as, errr, the Bionic?

I would say swapping the processor and maybe beefing up the ram doesn't imply the Bionic is dead, more of a "refresh" before actual launch. But if they are playing around with the form factor...
