I wonder if there's talk on the iPhone 4S forum complaining about the delay or asking for a class action lawsuit to as they rushed the iPhone to market when it still had battery problems.

EDIT: I looked at the iPhone support forum at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3391947?start=0&tstart=0 (which was mentioned in the CNN article). It's 122 pages long! On just the battery!

Bionic was both rushed and late.

It was originally a lot different, but changed after it was promo'd and the battery sucked even worse. They sent it back into the shop to iron out some more wrinkles, and then people started complaining about when the phone would be released.

So we have a phone that is way over its original release date, but radically changed so probably essentially a new phone that was released probably early.

best of both worlds!

called verizon for the second time this week due to my data connection issues. the technician i spoke with told me that there would be an update for the bionic coming out between november 1st and 7th.

Ubetcha. Look at threads on the iOS5 as well. That might be worse. People who had a working 4, 3gs, 3g, etc now have crappy battery life as well, and many lost all of their contacts switching over.

Great. While I'm stuck with a worthless Bionic brick, unable to use my phone's data connection, I can laugh (all by myself, since I can't get online to tweet it) at those sorry iPhone losers surfing the net all day long knowing their battery is about to run out any second...

I wish it was that full-proof... but while some are reporting great improvements, others are reporting zero improvement...

I agree... it "should". Unfortunatley, there's a bunch of "testers" that are saying it doesn't fix the connectivity issue, and now there's a link where a moto guy admits it doesn't fix everything on the punch list, and that the "real" update won't be here possibly until January 2012.

So, why exactly should I waste the time jacking with my phone when it should have worked from the beginning and this "update" doesn't even fix the connectivity problem?

Moto Bionic = Major FAIL

That's all there is to it. Time to ditch this worthless POS.
