Got this baby running its paces with SG blue theme...superb! And so far Bekit's stock kernel has been working good for me. The voltage also seems lower than what I've seen on comparable Froyo kernels from P3droid and jdlfg. Its the first Froyo kernel I've used where I can get the Wireless Tether (for Root Users) "access control" function to work like it did on 2.1 roms!
However, I would like to run a few other kernels to compare, but if needed I'd like to be able to reflash Bekit's stock kernel. Is that stock kernel available in an update.zip format? Or would I need to reflash boot.img ... and if doing so, would that change any settings other than just reverting back to the stock kernel?
P3 just informed me that he has deemed some kernels ready for testing, as well as verified that they work specifically with Sapphire 0.6.2. Expect release tonight
Excellent. I need me my 1ghz! I'll be glad to test.
btw, thanks for adding the color codes in the theme SS's. I applied the Smoked blue theme and the text colors were wrong.... easy enough to change w/ Spare Parts and the codes being provided. I'm a techie... not a coder
Plans for future themes to apply text color changes themselves in the update.zip format rather than manually doing it?
All I did was install 0.6.2 over 0.6.0, no data wipe, and everything just worked! After a couple of reboots...
Well, that's not exactly true... The icon for Grocery IQ was replaced by one of those default looking green android icons on my home screen... The app still worked just fine, so I just dragged it to the garbage can and placed it on the home page again. Other than that, everything works! Even Maps works, as I see some people it still doesn't work.
I don't have anything else fancy running. Just 0.6.0 and ADW Launcher.
