Bug Thread for 2.5.0 - OP UPDATED

I don't know why but I noticed my "battery use"(or whatever it was called)tab is no longer under the "about phone" menu. is this purposely like this in the frg83d build??? not a huge deal but I couldn't help but to point this out.

For those concerned about getting compcache to work.

I am still testing this fix, but it seems to be working so far.

Using the method I outlined in the OP, compcache wasn't auto-starting at boot.

I flashed an LFY Slayher kernel over my 1.6 Slayher kernel and it started working.

Just something to try, like I said I am still testing the ins and outs of it.

And it autostarts after reboot?

Yes, it is autostarting at boot.

So sequence of events:

Flashed UD 2.5.0
Flashed 1.6 Slayher kernel
Flashed compcache module in OP
made sure compcache was set to on in settings
Used the phone for the last couple of days, being annoyed at not being able to autostart compcache.
Flashed LFY kernel

And it works on boot. Please let me know if it works for you so I can fix the OP accordingly. Good luck!

wont really help. on reboot still shuts off. been using lfy kernels for awhile and it still shuts off. i told bd and its an issue in the rom.

This is in any screen that you can click a contact picture and you get a popup with their contact options...See pic below...
The phone logo has been replaced by a generic android app logo.
This happened when I fully wiped before 2.4. It stayed this way when I flashed 2.5 with no wipe. It stayed when I tested by wiping and reinstalling 2.5.

Any one seen this??? Is there a fix?

i was told that to get the darkside market to work, you have to flash while you have the old market installed.

i'm going to reflash 2.5.0 start all over from the beginning and try it because when i tried to flash darkside i had the new market installed.

was wondering if you tried flashing darkside over the new or old market?

Hah never thought of that. I just did a fresh install. And just finished restoring
everything back to the way it was gonna try that now.

Guys, I loaded the rom this morning and it worked great..

1. install the rom
2. use the OLD market for something, anything to verify it is working
3. install the "new" market theme of your choice with CW and you should be good....

also remember, if you use my Darkside theme, the market will show up as "black market" in your app drawer....

I wish someone would of said install over old market. Would of saved me HOURS of trying to get it to work. Sorry if that was stated already but I didn't see it. Works great, thanks.
