CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2 Global [Beta]

I've tried CM7 today on my D2G.
Totally unusable.
Tried to switch CDMA->GSM. FC, reboot and bootlooping. Then, after wipe, every time I tried to call any number - FC of phone application.
Finally I've got constant bootlooping and installed stock firmware.

I really love CM7 on my Defy. It's working wonderful.
Hope I will live long enough to see CM7 on my D2G

upd. there is a leak of 2.3 now, so I'm sure we'll get fully functional CM7 soon

I loaded it on my wifes and she loves it,,so far a few bugs ,but its going smooth.

There's a D2 BT problem? I'm on #40 and use my BT daily.

Edit: Nevermind you were probably talking about BT voice dial.

Does that mean you can use your BT headset and make calls? Can you be heard and can you hear the other person? Thanks!

Now that the d2g is official does that mean that there'll be a "stable" rom along with the nightlies and experimentals?

Not sure exactly HOW that works...There would be no experimentals though (Unless Rev or 13th post them)...I would guess that the stable will be built according to what is merged and accepted at the time you requested the ROM from CM, Nightlies will then be available whenever you request them. I do not think CM has a "STABLE" repo that is any different than the current Nightly. But I could be wrong...

Yes and no.... We're official and it doesnt loop, it was just the one days build that looped. After that our tree was pretty screwed up because of some things with the main CM tree (like Cvpcs merging the 2nd-init into Moto_common). We dont have any official nightlies yet though

Where can I find one of the new ones? I'm still on 8/16 and just wondering. Thanks for the information though!

USB and Cyanogemod

Having issues with USB and original D2G Cyanogenmod. I go into App Drawer, select USB Mode, select Memory Card Access, but I cannot see the phone on my computer. When I try entering USB Mode again, it has automagically diverted itself back to Charge Only. Anyone else having that problem? Suggested cures? Thanks!


BTW- pay no attention to my signature- Fission was a long time ago and I haven't changed the sig yet!


edit: Disregard- nothing a good reboot couldn't fix!

Sorry, I'm confused and looking for install instructions.
I am Rooted, I have downloaded and installed ClockworkMod Recovery. I have also downloaded todays daily build: cm_shadow_full-78.zip :

This is what I think I need to do
Flash ClockworkMod Recovery
then install ROM from SD Card.

THat is it I think. Am I correct?

Just to be sure, are there any other files other than the latest build (2011-9-8) to install CM7 GB? Is gapps and sensorsfix still required and last but not least is the "github-GB Modification" zip file (CM7-GB_Android_device_motorola_droid2we-9457fd1.zip) needed?
Just making sure I'm not missing anything.

I flashed cm7 and it got stuck repeating the boot flash, not a boot loop though, it didn't shut off. I had to sbf then update, but now freshly installed and rooted like before, roms manager wont reboot me into the flashed recovery. I repeated my exact series of steps to get me there the first time, and now it wont work. Any ideas?

Edit: I screwed up and left it rooted when I updated to gb, so now it wont root...and it didn't flash the recovery
