[ROM] CyanogenMod 9 [BETA] (DX) (8/19)

I found a bug. If you go into your wifi sleep policy and set it to only keep wifi on when plugged in you'll lose wifi when unplugged once the adapter goes to sleep. You have to shut off wifi and turn it back on to connect again.

For the Gapps, does it matter which one you install? Could someone please inform me a little more on the two Gapps downloads. The captions next to them confuse me all. I have both can I install both?
I have Droid X With CM9 4.0.4 ICS

I don't think it does, as long as it's an ICS Gapps. I tried using an older file I had, but I think it was associated with Gingerbread. Obviously none of the Gapps actually worked.
File that worked is actually labelled ICS-20120317, that might help you find it.

I used ICS_MOTO_4.0.4_GAPPS and it worked fine.

Just want to check in and see if there have been any updates on CM9 or gummy that are making battery life better and mms working. Thanks

Lowvolt, I had the MMS issue and this link below fixed my issue. I'm on verizon, if you are also, go to the link and follow their instructions on adding an APN:

How to: Verizon APN settings Android iPhone iPad Blackberry | Manual 3G MMS Internet Data setting Verizon Wireless | verizon fios internet setup | VZAccess Manager Settings

Great ROM. This is my first romming experience after a brief trial with CM7 GB. I am sold and will keep romming once my contract expires and I am able to actually get a phone with ICS at the end of May (CMON GSIII...).

I have had one issue with the ROM, and it involves the WiFi. My phone does not connect to WiFi networks that it recognizes. When I go into the WiFi settings it says that there aren't any in range even when I try to scan. I have to turn off my WiFi then on again for the scan to actually work and then it will connect as it should.

I just found the setting 'Keep WiFi on during sleep'. I did have the radio for Never highlighted, but the behavior still seems like once I woke the phone it should turn on and connect, but maybe I am misunderstanding this. I have changed this setting to always remain on WiFi, but I will have to wait until this afternoon when I go home to see if it will transition to the other networks automatically.

Thank you guys for everything, I really appreciate you bringing new life to my DX while I am still stuck with it. Who knows, maybe now I won't even need a new phone.

Even after setting the wifi sleep policy to stay on I still have to occasionally disable/enable wifi to reconnect.

Sounds like a DNS issue, could possibly be router related...although attempting to use any DLNA/UPnP application seems to break my wireless connection as well.

Try setting your IP address to static and see if this alleviates your issue.

I don't think it's a DNS issue. Every other device I connect is fine and even this device works on 2.3. It'll also do it with the access points at work too. My setting to leave the wifi persistent didn't stick, so I turned it on again. Now everything stays connected, but it's just a workaround for an underlying problem.

Flashed 4/16/2012 this morning and couldn't get wifi to work even after a couple reboots and fixing permissions. Flashed back to 4/3/2012 with no wifi issues.
