@ scrub. LOL! I am no master. It was just working for me that day and night. Kind of a mellow day, but

I had quite a bit of phone calls, was in the forums and played some Angry Birds. I didn't modify my phone that

day like I usually do, due to a restart on my batt. history. But the list a couple posts back tells it all on my setup,

nothing special really. Just conserve where I don't use, oh, and this ROM rocks!!! Can't wait for the new

version :icon_evil:dancedroid:icon_evil: And 6 1/2 hours was on batt. saver, a boys gotta sleep. But if I

didn't have that reboot on the slide lock, who knows how long it would have went

Definitely going to give this ROM a go. I'm currently using RubiX 195, and I love it. But from what I've been reading, this one may be the one i stick with. Backing up my ROM right now. Will be installing shortly after.

I have a question about updating roms. Can you just download the update and install it over the rom or do you have to do a wipe/factory reset?

Also I saw they have different keyboards. How do you install those? Sorry if these are noob questions and are posted on here.

Wow this ROM right here makes me wanna go get a Droid X. This ROM would be TOTALY awesome on the Droid 2. Is there a way you could maybe port it over to it.?

If you follow the link in the OP, you can gather all of the info needed in order to get the ROM running on your phone. Depending on your current setup there's a variety of things you may need to do, but the devs are fantastic unbelievable awesome and will help you if their thread doesn't cover your situation.

Using Root Explorer, simply rename the file from example.apk to example.bak

Or you can delete them entirely if you want

Titanium Backup paid version. It allows you to freeze running apps you don't use without deleting them. This way you can defrost them in the future.

For example: this ROM comes with 2 launchers, Launcher Pro and ADW. My launcher of choice is ADW, so I freeze LP.

If I'm not mistaken JMTownsend does the opposite

For example: this ROM comes with 2 launchers, Launcher Pro and ADW. My launcher of choice is ADW, so I freeze LP.

That "freezing" is the same thing I suggested by renaming the file extension from .apk to .bak the thing is, root explorer is something we all will probably need at some point anyway, and TB isn't...LOL don't take offense to that! if you want to use the apps you renamed, just go back in and rename them back to .apk

And yes- you are correct...I use LauncherPro rather than ADW (although I admit the new ADW EX has my attention, as well as Go Launcher--but I LOVE the LP widgets so i'm not leaving it yet) but I don't freeze ADW, I just remove it. haha!!

So, I tried doing some searches here and on Google but, can't seem to find an answer so, figured I'd just ask.

Can DX themes/ROMS be used on a D1? I think the answer is no but, I really like the look of DarkSlide and figured it was worth asking.

I was suggesting another way to disable apps. And renaming them works well if not better, depending

if you like TBU. A lot of people don't. And what I meant by you do the opposite was for your

choice of Launcher Pro over ADW. And I could have been off by that too :icon_ banana:

Don't think so unless they are ported for the particular device.
